Any Friday plans, folks? I'm hoping to get my Roasted Pecan Mix done and a White Chocolate/Cranberry mix. I'm planning just a small two flavor mix on the Cranberry/Chocolate to get the taste of it. That should give me an idea where I want to go with it.....or not.

It seems really acidic or something. I’m not that good at describing flavors. There’s a taste that lingers on my tongue that reminds me of sour milk. If I was going to try it again then I’d go much lower on the base. Maybe 1%. Either that or use it with a strong fruit flavor that would overpower the base more leaving the base as more of a background flavor.
Maybe try the milkshake in a cheesecake mix?

    Best of luck:)
    Sorry to not catch up.

It went okay, meaning yes, I got everything done, I saw everyone no one died I was horrendously slow, I think my notes were SORT of ok but I'm sure I have billing coding errors.

I didn't get a lunch (crisis) and I had to deal with a suicidal kid with no knowledge of local resources and no access to my supervisor and I had to stay til 6 to finish. Sigh. I guess, that's the kind of day you have to have as your first.

CPR today so commuting all day, too. SO GLAD it is Friday.

It wasn't exactly BAD, really, but if I had had to drive to Tucson on top of ALL that well, I would have quit, I think, if that had been my first day.

Did I say I learned a lot? And that I still have tons to learn? Because I do.

    Sigh.

Later happy mixing/at least I get to vape on the way to CPR. 1 hour drive if I am lucky.

How long did it steep? Forgive me if you already said, I’m just starting my coffee, and this stupid cold has sapped my brain

If you come up with something you like then let me know. I’d be willing to try something else. I’ve never really vaped chocolate before and have just recently mixed a couple testers with chocolate.
Same here. May make it just hazelnut orange milkshake, then pull some and add chocolate chunks as a second tester.
I went back and looked at the Reddit review. He suggested the vt milkshake at 1% plus a cream to a) give the cream a malty milkshake background and b) avoid the sour milk (2%)/ buttered popcorn flavors (6%)

I am interested to hear about your experience. I picked up VTA Croissant during my last binge, but have yet to try it. I am hoping for another base/foundation that provides a lighter bakery note.

Guess I better get off my rump and mix some testers up.

Liam Davey describes it like this:

24 Hr Very buttery & sweet almost verging on a buttercream, there is a hint of a flaky type pastry (Viennoiserie) in the background. 9 Days Buttery and slightly sweet Viennoiserie pastry , there is a slight buttercream taste to this in the background but overall is a very good Croissant, as the wicks dry out the croissant becomes more realistic, even taking on a fresh baked note. 18 Days The slight butter cream note has now steeped out, this now tastes like a buttery fresh rich croissant. No change in strength Usage I'd use at 0.5%-1% for an accent, 1%-2% for a background flavour and 2%- 3.5% for the primary taste, I'd Suggest 3.5%-8% as a Stand-alone flavour. Will pair well with fruits especially those with a Jam like quality, like VTA Strawberry Jam, this would also work well to add a flaky pastry type note to bakeries, should also work well with custards and creams.

FE Sweet Rice: Flavors Express Sweet Rice • r/DIY_eJuice

VTA Rice Base is described by testers as plain white rice.

I have FE Sweet Rice and the bottle is still unopened. Doubt I will use it since it doesn't work with any flavor profile I vape regularly.

I saw several comments about fizzy flavors and thought I would throw in my 2 cents worth. I like VTA Fizzy Sherbet, RF Soda Base, and FW Pink Champagne. What I get is a perception of effervescence. Fizzy isn't something that can be replicated in a vape, apparently. I do like that perception in some mixes. Not everyone picks it up. It isn't a true fizz, like drinking a fizzy drink, but it does add something, for me, to certain mixes.

That was very helpful. I also watched a video recently on how the tongue actually feels carbonation & why it’s so difficult to get that sensation thru the aroma of e juice. I believe it was on Do or Die but I could be mistaken.

I think he steeped about 3-4 weeks. I’d have to go back and look.

BCF order came while I was dropping off the girls at Voodoo Fest. Spent the morning making bruises, bloody gashes....your basic zombie fare. I had forgotten what a pain latex is to work with :grr:

Yes, I smelled the blueberry milkshake! It’s not that bad. It’s just the butyric acid. It’s actually used in a lot of foods, as well as perfume. When allowed to react, it turns from vomit to buttery or fruity, depending on what you mix it with. We used it in the lab, so I may either be desensitized to it, or I got a yuck free bottle. Either way, I’m pleasantly surprised

You might be surprised. I mixed it with cinnamon roll and cc icing. Pretty good
