I agree with Joel, FA isnt really a shortbread cookie. More of a sugar cookie without all the sweetness but it can be bent to almost any type with just a few additions. PUR cookie is a shortbread cookie in all aspects. Its a little bit buttery and just a touch of vanilla like a store bought shortbread cookie. INW biscuit is used a lot for cookie and rightfully so. WF to me is really close to INW but has this weird off note thats hard to describe. Its a tang, almost like a real southern biscuit made with buttermilk. Not really off to the point I wouldnt use it, I just cant think of anything I could use it for that I wouldnt like one of the others better. As you know people get different perceptions and these are just my opinions. None of these are bad and can be used for different recipes depending on what you are trying to do with the cookie.
Thank you:) I know everyones tastes are different but the flavor reviews are really helpful to me.:):)

Anyone with mixing plans today? Any new flavors out there? I don't quite know what to do today. I have a bunch of recipes to work on and a couple ready to mix but not sure if I'll mix today. It's a maybe.I'm not yet happy with a few recipes so I should just work on those so they're at least ready to mix. For a change it's not going to rain today and I need to get some wood in here.

I woke up at four today but like, the husband had an impressive PTSD meltdown yesterday, he was due for one so I wasn't complaining, but it was tiring. Etc. I am gonna try the last of my mixes in a dripper today, also got to recoil and rewick a couple tanks I hope I get to it.

My medical issue is not responding to OTC treatments. I'm gonna bite the bullet and go to the adult clinic at my work if it doesn't improve. Mainly because I am cheap. I think it's getting a bit better but I wouldn't call it stellar.

I could have really used a calm and peaceful day yesterday but such was not the case Just glad to get my med box organized, my clothes, etc. I will be heading back to the apartment this evening. It really is my little cave.

I think things are better, I'm just TIRED.. Yep.

I don't know what medical issue you have but hope you get help for it soon. I'm sure everything will go much better once you find a place and make the final move. Until then I'm really glad the job is going well:thumbs:

I have not used WF(SC) Shortbread. So, I can't offer an opinion.

To be honest, the only cookie that remains on my "want to try" list, is the new INW Shortbread (thanks a lot @ceeceeisme!). And, to my knowledge, that has yet to find a U.S. retailer.

I haven't tried WF SC Shortbread either but I would think it would be pretty good. INW Shortbread is the one I use in my Strawberry Cheesecake Crumble recipe and I haven't seen it available anywhere in Canada or the US either.

Not a fan of WF SC Shortbread, but I did notice Shortbread (INW) is available at DIY Vapor Supply. It's a bit pricey, 4.95 for 10ml, 12.95 for 30ml but you can get 10% off with the code ELRECIPES.

I received my bcf Halloween order yesterday, got a few new to me flavors and more pg and vg. Hopefully I'll have time to mix today as I'm running low, I plan on making something with vta English toffee and vta toffee ice cream.
Let me know how that turns out. I mixed the toffee ic with H caramel toffee and VTA creme brulee, pretty good

I feel better! Home remedies working! Made templates and emailed them to my work me. Emailed my dad an spiritual mommy. I'm all awake and packed and the budget is happening over yoga (my suggestion, the husband can go on and on while I stand on my head and it's harder for me to interrupt.

Also, since the PTSD activated him (he did get some sleep last night so it's better) seems to require me to give him any/all extra cash, I need to know where it is going.

Seriously, I can seem not so great with dough but it was me that came up with the down payment to two out of two houses, so far. I know how to squirrel.

Maybe the PTSD him "needs" to "Buy" our next house and whatnot. Counting my 9 months of return to work disability I will be pulling in around 5K a month. I don't really that much care who "pays" for the down payment to be frank, it's MY money, but if he needs a face save, fine.

I am putting $0 for lottery tickets and $0 for the kid, though. I'm sorry , the kid needs to learn to budget too, so I will not be having to say, "I had to give the kid money!" and then demand *I* pay him back if the kid needs money he can talk to me.

My only mixing plans are to mix up sfts of WF Cranberry Cocktail and a new one for FLV Cranberry. I think my problem with the FLV Cranberry is the earthy tobacco-ish flavor that I get from it. I plan to try a lower percentage in the sft. It may just be a flavor I don't like.

In the next day or so, I plan to mix up HIC's Vanilla Chai Masala with a few changes. His recipe as written is good but I want some nutmeg in there, more cream, and a bit more sweetness. It will never be an ADV for me but it is a nice treat for the taste buds. I mixed a spiced apple using the VTA Chai Masala and there is too much anise for me. VTA should rename that flavor Chai Spice as it has no tea flavor - just spices.

Well I'm glad then that I bought the 100ml bottle of Shortbread from Inawera. I wouldn't have gotten around to trying the WFSC for at least a couple of years.

What is it you don't like about it?

I’ll be curious to hear your opinion on the cranberry cocktail. I just got it and haven’t mixed it yet.

BUDGET-- done! We can pay our bills, apparently. It got a bit tense at times.

I did taste my last few flavors, they were vile as predicted. One was so bad I almost want to keep vaping it. Do not confuse a Mexican milk cinnamon drink for the spice they flavor up mixed fruit with would be my advice.

It serves me right for arrogantly thinking I knew what it was, and not reading flavor descriptions and etc. LOL.

I think I can buy some snus next pay period, too, the husband left over money and apparently, it gets easier as you climb your pyramid of debt (that is what my credit counseling service is doing too, I guess) plus also maintaining two households should not be necessary for the long term. I hope. I'm all done with vape stuff, just not looking forward to climbing back in the car for that drive.

Mystery health condition still getting better as I apply Home Remedies (usually by the time I get extra desperate) thank goodness, because it was NOT a condition I really wanted to share with, well not exactly my coworkers, but even ANYONE at my company. HIPPA or no HIPPA there are times you want to show something to NOT ONLY strangers, but someone you are fairly sure you will NEVER encounter again. Etc.

It also doesn't hurt anymore, so there is that. LOL.

I did at least try to work on finishing some recipes today but my brain wasn't agreeing with my plan so I gave up. Maybe tomorrow the brain will do better. If not I may try one of my newer mixes. Most shouldn't need any long steep.

Checked my BCF wishlist. Just 5 flavors so far ,4 new.

I have 11 new, but three of those are cookies. I wish rum raisin would come back in, it’s on there, along with mascarpone, golden pineapple, a different strawberry, pb, shisha orange, yes we cheesecake and lemon meringue tart(which is probably silly, because I could make it out of the billion flavors I have, but it sounds good ). Oh, and rhubarb.

I was expecting a buttery cookie flavor but I got a spicy fried dough undertone that I didn't care for. I tried it as a single & in several recipes @ various %ages and it just wasn't anything cookie like to me. Lots of folks seem to like it, so maybe it's just me... :(
