I'm still procrastinating on making up those two cereal recipes. My youngest has an orchestra concert tonight at the HS so I'm sure I won't get any mixing done tonight.

Fidola, I think it just depends on how specific/specialized one wants to get from a given flavor.
Some folks want very specific characteristics for a flavor. That citrus might need to be more "zest," than "juice," or "candy." Other folks may just want a general citrus note, and not really care what specific nuances it may contribute. (Also, if a person only has one or two choices, and they are vastly different... making a choice may be rather obvious.)
I find, it is most useful for me, when I have a very specific goal/recipe in mind. When I am trying to create that "fresh from the vegetable stand watermelon," and I have I have 11 potential watermelon concentrates to choose from, it can be worth the extra effort. Trying to recreate a clone of a commercial e-liquids is another time having additional knowledge of your concentrates can help save time.
When you do invest the time for side-by-side comparisons; be sure to write lots of detailed notes for yourself. Learn from my mistakes.I did a rather extensive watermelon comparison a couple of years ago; and thought I had it committed to memory (other than a few scant notes). I grew discouraged with my early recipe creations (not "real" enough), and needed to step away from it for a while. When I was finally ready to try again; I had forgotten almost everything, and will need to start start from scratch.
My final thought on single flavor comparisons:
I generally find these most informative; when I have previously determined what my preferred percentage is.
This may add even more time to the process. But, I have found the results to be near worthless, when I am trying to compare unfamiliar flavors. I did this with my first batch of lemon concentrates. And, because I had no clue what percentage (for each concentrate) I needed to be using; I was missing many of the subtleties, others said they were tasting. My comparison ended up being a waste of time.
Fran,
Wishing you and your husband, an uneventful and successful treatment. You both are in my thoughts.![]()

Thats the swelling. Couldnt see for 3 days
I suppose I should spill the beans......hubs has bone cancer. It's in one spot that can be accessed easily with pin point radiation so we have a hope of killing it......at least for now. He's in a great deal of pain and I'm really hoping the radiation next week will relieve that.
To me it taste like red licorice. Bland with no real berry flavor. What does it taste like to you? Curious
Well, this should be interesting then. I’ll sniff it, if it’s iffy, I’ll stick it in “ building up the courage” box with the VTA rum that reputedly tastes like bbq sauce. To be fair, red licorice sounds easier to work into a recipe than bbq!To me it taste like red licorice. Bland with no real berry flavor.

I can think of absolutely no use at all for the VT Golden Rum. If you do come up with something, please let me know. I second the Shisha Raspberry (it's good) but don't have the Sweet from VT to compare.
Oh yum, perfume. NOTFound a Reddit review... quoting:
Flavor Description: A floral raspberry with some juicy tendencies.
Floral heavy raspberry. Typical perfume-type berry floral all up in the top notes. Florals stick around throughout the entire vape and end up being very prominent in the exhale. More floral than the top end of something like FA Raspberry, but less floral than FA Blackberry… so that’s something.
The floral here is a bummer, because the raspberry underneath it is pretty solid. Moderately dense, with a deeply juicy base. Full, realistic raspberry flavor. Maybe a bit sweeter than a straight raspberry, but doesn’t feel too candied or artificial. Nice balance of tarter brightness and deeper sweet berry notes. Feels very vivid and red.
Mouthfeel overall is juicy in the base, especially on the inhale, but dries out from those florals up top.
Thank you for posting thisView attachment 783851 I mixed this today, but left out the sweetner. It’s real good as I’ve never made a Captain Crunch Cereal before. Glad I made 60ml.
Ive found “perfume” is like “sweet”, it’s very subjective. It’s worth a try.Oh yum, perfume. NOT
Don't blame ya.Today was about as expected. LOL, the husband coming up tomorrow and I think I'm sick. I think it's just a cold. I cannot even BEGIN to say how many "strep throat" hands I have shaken though, it's really GREAT. LOL. I guess it will be what it is.
You ever have those parents you want to smack? And not your own, they're just unbearably awful? And you have to be polite, even as they sit there complaining to your face about how awful you are, and you have to not be like, "Listen lady, I'm holding BACK big time." Had one of those, late.
And, as I try to assess whether you are stealing your kid's meds and you have this mysterious mutual memory loss about some stuff and not about other stuff (and the kid too, because you've trained it) it does NOT impress me that you tell me you had no insurance at EXACTLY the point the kid got the mysteriously same med as you and you both REMEMBER some stuff, but TOTAL amnesia about other stuff, it does not make me FEEL GOOD when you tell me you STOLE the kid's therapist because she was the only one in town and YOU went in for a FAMILY session and "the two of you got along so well, and--" bunch of crud-- "and so my daughter didn't LIKE her that much anyway, so like, she stopped and I started."
A) that makes me think you are taking half the kids meds MORE, and she was not mysteriously taking a double dose by accident and
B) WHO DOES THAT TO THEIR KID? IT MAKES ME WANT TO KICK YOU IN THE FACE.
Sorry, LOL, having a moment of "I hate everyone."
Anna
