I'm sure peanuts in can are what say, beans are in a can, compared to starting out the real thing.

I'm also GUESSING you flavor better, @JCinFLA , would be my guess.

But boiling a peanut.... Well I would try them out of politeness.

I also believe it's POSSIBLE to make scrapple taste good, but like, it probably requires the scrapple to be like 1/5 or less of the dish. And I am being charitable with that figure.

I’ve tried boiled peanuts, but as far as I know they didn’t come from a can. They are quite a popular item in the SC, GA, and FLA areas.

I’ve had fried scrapple too. Not my favorite thing to eat but it isn’t horrid.

On another note, a mixer sent me a bottle of their Climax Custard. It almost lives up to the name. A very fine custard. I’m guessing FA Premium is in there.

Never even heard os scrapple but it just doesn't sound good to me. I also hate boiled peanuts.

In the south, when pigs are concerned, they use every part of the pig but the squeal. Scrapple is the leftovers.

It seems I don’t have any Meringue TPA/TFA. I do have Meringue FA.

According to ELR they are both used at 1% median. In my recipe I am using 0.5%. Anyone have experience with both of these Meringues?

I’ve used FA meringue and I like it, I’m new to diy and haven’t used any other meringues though.

From what I understand it is interchangeable with TFA. All reviews say to stay under 2% and it is creamy and really good.

I actually like FA better. Its fluffier and creamier to me. I would say start low thou. Like .5. Easier to add than take away

I've been playing with what berries I have b4 ordering more ;)

Found I have FA Strawberry - does anyone notes/experience on this in comparison to tfa strawberry ripe?

I've been using FLV Berry Blend @2% - any experience with this one? It seems quite a rich dark berry blend to me, which I'm loving

To me FA Strawberry is a more realistic Strawberry compared to Strawberry Ripe which seems sweetened to me. FA Strawberry is less sweet.

@FranC , you could always try something with my motley stash (The 5ml bottle squeeze, shake and vape challenge). I've placed an order for another dozen flavours, mainly creams, vanillas, custards and bakeries.

Still managed to miss some essentials, either out if stock, or only available in large sizes :(.

I'm still using your cheesy rhubarb bar and mixed more about a week ago. I have to admit that I've been rather lazy at mixing lately but I have a lot of sample mixes in my cabinet that I still need to try.

I have a lemon meringue pie I made but slightly modified that I’m going to try later today, once my orders from BCF and NicRiver arrive I’ll have everything to make a Dinner Lady Lemon Tart clone.

Are you starting from scratch or using CAP or VTA lemon meringue as a base?

I’m looking for a rich, eggy vanilla custard recipe. I have CAP, TFA and VTA (warm). Shisha or madagascar vanilla?
