    Some catch up comments —

Coconut tasting like suntan lotion — this happened to be too but it was more like soap and it was intermittent. Someone mentioned to me to add some FLV Sweet Coconut along with the coconut I was using which was FA. The percent ratio did not matter and it was really up to the mixer's taste. I tried it and it worked. Fortunately for me, I only had this happen with one recipe. Another coconut trick I read however have not had the occasion to try it — if you find a recipe you have mixed is thin, add 0.15% FLV Coconut to thicken it up. You should not taste the coconut. Whether another brand of coconut can be used, I do not know. Maybe it was the brand the person has who mentioned this.

Boiled peanuts — When I was growing up in Hawaii boiled peanuts were popular but not mushy or slimey or whatever adjectives. I do not know how they are made in the south. If I am not mistaken I think in Hawaii five star spice was added to the peanuts when they were boiling. It has been a very long time since I have had them. I can see where it would be an acquired taste though.

I gave mine a vape just because I couldn’t wait and I didn’t taste any coconut, I could smell it in the juice but no taste. Fingers crossed the coconut pops a little more after some steeping...or I’m adding more.

I am behind however I noticed there was some talk about graham cracker a few pages back. A few weeks ago I tried a new recipe called Graham Cracker Custard by Silky on ATF that may be an inspiration — Graham Cracker Custard. I did not use FW Graham Cracker and instead I used FA. I also switched the percentage so used 2% CAP and 1% FA.
I may work out a variation of that.Give me something to try the Cream Brulee in.:)

I bet I'd taste it as coconut. It's one of those flavors others complain about not enough, it's too much for me.

I tried a juice in Hawaii that I’ve been trying to recreate. It was called Kulolo. It was different but enjoyable. So I found a recipe for kulolo and have come close but I’m either too strong on the taro or need to up the sweetness.

I just mixed up another 30ml of strawberry crumble cheesecake. I’m really liking mixing by weight. It’s no big deal now to quick throw together a quick bottle of something with no syringes to clean.

I have never had kulolo as a food or juice. One of the first recipes I mixed when I started DIY was one called Taro Haupia on ELR. Haupia is a traditional coconut pudding that does not include taro however the recipe on ELR included taro Other than TFA, FE has a taro flavor which is what I used. Based on what I read on ECX at the time it said to use very little cause it was strong. I want to say I used around 0.10% and did not care for it. It is possible I did not steep it long enough. I am not familiar with the TFA version however it could be that your percentage is high. ATF is saying average for FE in a mix is 0.75% and 1.10% for TFA. I don’t know if you are familiar with taro or not. It is a root vegetable that is pounded to make poi which I do like and definitely an acquired tasted.

There is a juice mixer that goes by the name of Lelani. She participates in some mixing YT videos as well as writes flavor reviews on Reddit. I just looked on Reddit and there are reviews for both the FE and TFA Taro. She posts recipes on ATF and possibly on ELR. If you can track her down and PM her, she may be able to help you. If not, possibly lower the taro. There are a few recipes on ATF that includes either FE or TFA Taro so this may give you some guidance as well.

BTW we moved from Hawaii to the mainland years ago.

Good morning, mixers:) I'm still vaping my Chocolate Covered Cookie. I'll dig the recipe out later and post it. Pretty tasty I think.

I have Peanut Shortcake yet to try and maybe I can get to that later today also.

I also have a ton of notes I just stuck in a drawer to get off my desk.I need to get those out and go through them and find my recipes, recipe ideas and stuff.

I still have way too much mixed that I need to vape up but I'm getting the urge to create something new. I'm going to try to hold it to just a mix or two for now.

I'm going to have to place a flavor order soon if I'm ever going to be able to make that lemon meringue pie. I might hold off on some of the stuff on my wishlist as some of it is not really needed for any particular recipe.

That recipe is the best Lemon Meringue Tart to date I’ve tried. And I’ve tried lots.

Mixed @NotSoMini JF Lemon Juicy with @FranC Cheesecake Base.
    CAP NY cheesecake 6%
    CAP Graham Cracker 1.5
    HS Italian Cream 1.5%
    JF Lemon Juicy 1.5%

Made more of Nick Evans Lemon Meringue Pie The Best Yet 60ml.

I did up JF Lemon Juicy to 2.0% so if it is not enough lemon for you add more.

You have motivated me to try my version of Nick Evans LMP. Will be back later as I have to take my car in for its annual check up.

Thanks! I just tried some but I think it needs to steep. I will keep that in mind.

It’s the best Lemon Meringue Tart so far.
