The sole reason I ordered from NicRiver was because I wanted to try the Vanilla Bourbon w/Cream. I'm going to make it a point to do an sft on that tomorrow at least. With luck I can get a couple others done too.
On Chefs website is there a way to tell which Fa flavors are kitchen line?
So what else good does Chefs have that we can't get here?
Thank you for satisfying my curiosityThere are three for sure that I know of available at Chefs that were available for a short time in the US: Corn, Pandora and Whipped Cream. I know that Butter and Panettone were also available but I did not see them on the Chefs website. I had the Corn and mixed HIC’s Corn Bread recipe that was very good and realistic. In fact too realistic for me and used only four flavors. He also developed a recipe called HIC’s Teddy Bear Custard that uses Custard Premium that I mixed quite a bit. Both of these recipes available for purchase on his website.
Confusion comes in because FA UK also makes flavor blends that can be purchased on their website as well as Chefs. Some may contain diketones and others not. Some that I did not recognize on Chef as being available in the US:
Black Pearl UK?
Bongo
Bountiful UK?
Condensed Milk US?
Cornish Cream Tea UK?
CustApple UK?
Custard Cream ?
Double Delight UK?
Dr. Who
Espresso Cream
Espresso Nutzilla UK?
Jagerbomb UK?
Marzi Malone UK?
Vimtonic UK?
I do not buy many new FA flavors anymore unless I run into a recipe that uses it and what I buy are mostly refills.
Any other really good one shots at Chefs? They have soooo many!Well besides the ones @NotSoMini referred to above they have Cupcake World rebranded as Chef's Choice. Chef's also makes some pretty dang good one-shots under their own brand name. I buy Lemon Coconut Cream Cake on a regular basis because it's just soooooo good. I've tried to replicate it but just can't so I just give in and buy it.
You can literally spend hours on Chef's window shopping. They have some different stuff than we do, that's for sure.
The bitterness is probably from the catalan cream. It should steep out after a few weeks. Glad you can taste things now. Bet your list grows now that you have to re-do it. Mine always didSo how is everyone?
Made a small batch of Alisa’s DaMomma’s RY4 Delight from ELR a few days ago, just sampled it. Has flavour, lots of – so hopefully my muted issues are behind me. Still no idea as to the root of my problem. Oh well….not gonna stress over it!
The DaMomma’s RY4 Delight has been steeping for 5 days – the recipe called for 4…I’m sure it could benefit with more. It’s not bad but has a bitter taste to it. I ended up using CAP Sweet Cream instead of the FW Sweet Cream as indicated in the recipe. Could have sworn I bought FW sweet cream but guess I didn’t. So not sure if that change is the contributor to the bitterness. It’s back in the cupboard for a little more steepin’
On a side note – was working on a scratch pad on the computing device and had large list of flavours I was planning on purchasing and reading up on. Then a power failure! Damn cat was working on her Dooms Days Machine and took out the local power grid! Power restored but in my feeble attempt at restoring the file I was working on, I accidentally deleted it for good! So back to scratch on my scratch pad!! The cat is done working on her Dooms Day Machine and is quietly sleeping beside me

I've had more than my share of lazy mixer days...LOLMost of their one-shots have pretty good ratings but I only have Lemon Coconut Cream Cake and Ginger Rogers. While I love Lemon Coconut Cream Cake I don't much care for Ginger Rogers as I find it too sweet.
IMO one-shots are great for new mixers and lazy mixers but probably not for the rest of us. Lately I've fallen into the lazy mixer group so having a couple of one-shots on hand has been convenient.![]()
Giving my FE Mango a second try and still quite tasty on day 4. I got sft's of the 3 Hangsen flavors done finally.
Well, that's good to hear. I'm pretty sure someone said it's a fast fader so I'm trying it daily to see for myself.I sure love my FE Mango - it's my number one mango flavor these days. I don't really notice any fading with it but rarely do I have a mix with it hanging around for more than a week or two.
Trying the Pur Strawberry Rhubarb Smash at 8 days old. Mixed at 5%.Getting little to no flavor at all other than a sweetness.Put it back to steep more.
I can smell the fruit in it some but I can't taste it. Think I may let it set 2 more weeks.I had high hopes on that one. If you liked it then I was going to order it. I recall the PUR cranberry orange was one that I gave a good steep and could barely taste.
If not it will save you from buying it.I hope it gets better.
