That’s where I will be purchasing from. But was thinking that a PG base might be easier to shake up prior to use - get those nic hot spots out. I also like to keep my nic in the fridge (adds a cool, menthol taste;) ), again, thinking I might benefit from PG.

But good point on being thicker, easier to control.

I have purchased nic in 50/50 as well as 70PG/30VG. I prefer the 70/30 for the same reasons you mentioned.

I’m not after a max VG mix, usually 70% or under. So PG nic should be fine.
In this example for 70vg/30pg you’ll end up using 1ml more of vg if you use a pg based nicotine.

No doubt. <3 custard type vapes however try to limit how much of it I vape. I am planning to mix the GC Custard this weekend and after that I will try the Quickening.
What is your mix for the Graham Cracker Custard?

I just finished my first ever mixing session. It was a four-hour marathon. Don't make the mistake of thinking I have an enormous amount to show for that: I tend to work slowly to begin with, and even then I make a lot of dumb mistakes, no matter how careful I try to be. I also had many struggles getting my flavors open (the way some child-proof caps stymie me, you'd think I was a tenth my actual age, I swear). I also discovered that my equipment is frustratingly inadequate, something I intend to remedy before I mix anything else (I need squeeze bottles for VG and PG and pipettes or some such for transferring nic base into the mixing bottle, at the very least).

My first mix was the the Arroz con Leche I hope someday to perfect. It was a fiasco. First, I grabbed FLV Rich Cinnamon instead of Rum & Raisin and blithely started squirting it in. By the time I noticed my mistake, I'd added four times the amount of cinnamon I wanted. This made me decide to quadruple the recipe, which is crazy, since it's a first draft, and who knows what it's going to taste like. After managing not to mess anything else up, I grabbed PG when I meant to be adding VG and slopped in almost twice as much of it as I wanted before I realized what I was doing. The upshot is that what was supposed to be 60VG/40PG is 45VG/55PG. I hope I can vape it without getting the burned tongue/roof of mouth sensation that high PG induces in me.

The rest of the adventure went more smoothly: @FranC's Cheesecake Base #2 (which will first be going into @Fidola13's Fig Cheesecake in a couple of weeks), @FranC's Cheesy Rhubarb Bar, Mango Blossom Macaron, Vaperol Spritz, Xmas Pudding & Devon Cream, Treacle Ginger Pudding & Devon Cream, and SFTs of bilberry and the four black currants.

    I am pretty worn out.

You are a much better person than me. When I first started mixing if I over added a flavor, I would dump it and start over.

I line up my flavors in the order I will add them in to the right of me. Before I get ready to drip some in the bottle, I look at the label again, shake the bottle and drip it into the bottle. Once I have added the flavor, I put it to the left of me. Helps keep me honest.

Good point. But with a 70/30 mix, you would end up using more PG if your nic was VG based.

Guess if you were mixing with a high (20+) percentage of flavourings you might run into an issue at 70+VG.
I mix 70vg/30pg with vg based nic & I use more vg than I do pg.

What is your mix for the Graham Cracker Custard?

This is the original recipe. My GC changes are mentioned above however use what you like. If you do not have DFS Holy Vanilla, I would sub it with a dark vanilla and in this recipe I would use FA Bourbon Vanilla, possibly FA Madagascar Vanilla (Vanilla Classic). I use DFS because I have it. Recommended steep time is 14 days.

    1.5% FA Cookie
    1.5% INW Cream Brulee
    1% CAP Graham Cracker
    2% FW Graham Cracker
    1.5 DFS Holy Vanilla
    5% CAP Vanilla Custard

    How is the sweetness level?

Thats the best reason but if you are limited to 65mg it could affect some mixes. I have a bunch of VG based but before I use it I make sure its mixed well. I have PG based also but its 100mg up

I mix 70vg/30pg with vg based nic & I use more vg than I do pg.

True. If you were to make 30ml 70vg/30pg with 100mg/ml nic at 6mg with 15% flavouring, as an example. You would use 1.6ml more of VG should your nic be PG based. And 1.6ml more of PG should your nic be VG based. Hope I got that right! So six of one half dozen of the other. Unless PG is more expensive? Same price as VG here in Canada.

Just a general observation seems to me that more people use PG based nic. Never thought there was any benefits to the final mix, but was curious as to why.

Congrats to @Zazie! You did it! My first ever mixing session wasn't pretty either. Over time I've found a routine that works for me. Like NotSoMini, I line up all the flavors for a mix, in order of use, next to the bottle I'm going to mix them into. Nic, PG and VG have a specific place on my table that I've gotten so used to it's almost automatic but I still double check. You'll find what works for you. Keep going!

If one is able to obtain their VG/PG percentage, curious how would 65mg affect a mix?

One of the reasons why I use vg nic is because when I first started vaping I bought 50/50 juice & after vaping all day at night, still vaping it would make my nose run. After I switched to 70vg/30pg no more runny nose .

    Somewhere between here and there
I do not find it to be overly sweet however you are more sensitive so may find it so. Mix a small sample first and see how it works for you.

I wouldn’t call it sweet either. I taste the vanilla and graham the most. To me it just has a nice full mouth feel.
