Thx for the reply. I had 2 bottles of Essential Depot that were bitter. Then I tried Biopharm and that was even more bitter. Biopharm is the actual manufacturer of their PG and I think (but don't quote me) Essential Depot sources their PG from Dow Chemical/DuPont. I'm waiting for a reply from an Essential Depot rep. I'm hoping she can give me some insight as to what may have happened. All I know is that the MSDS of all PG manufacturers describe the taste as slightly sweet.Because you got 2 bad ones from different places, I would want to see if someone else described the same taste from it. I have vg that is almost 10 years old and the taste hasn't changed at all to me. My first thought on your bad one would be the formulation or contamination but when you said 2 different sources, that is odd. Unless the same company made them or if both were exposed to extreme temps, maybe. Although, I have trouble with the heat theory cause we heat juice to vaporize it and I don't get a bitter taste when vaping vg/pg.
Sure hope you get to the bottom of it. Please let us know what you find out.
Well, that's sure not over the top. I find Sugar Cookie to be quite sweet though.I used 1% of each.
Did you let it steep any?Hello, Mixers. Looks like @hittman is on a mission for blueberry cookies ! Go for it !
Me, I am starting into a Berry Cupcake that is in need of work. I started with ;
Vanilla Cupcake 4%, Raspberry Sweet 3%, Strawberry 3%, Sweet Cream 2%.
The Raspberry is out in front, with the strawberry trying to keep up. I am not getting any sweet or cupcake flavors at all so far. Also, seems to be a dull 'chemical' aftertaste. Maybe up the Vanilla Cupcake to 6%, and drop Raspberry to 2% next try ....
Have you tried FA Bilberry?You're the one that got me started on the blueberry cookie. I am just having a hard time getting the cookie and the blueberry to cooperate. The first mix was good blueberry but didn't taste like cookie. The V3 was very mute and didn't taste a lot like either. I'm wondering if I should use .5% super sweet. I still have V4 steeping and will try it soon.
I used some boysenberry in the base mix and it helped with the blueberry.

You can take the cupcake up to 5-6% and you get more cake or just add in some type of cake like JF to boost it. Cap vanilla cupcake is the whole thing including icing. I personally would drop the sweet raspberry to around 1.5 and up the SBHello, Mixers. Looks like @hittman is on a mission for blueberry cookies ! Go for it !

Thank you. May I ask what brand you use?
Thanks for your input, HazeFWIW, all PG tastes bitter to me. I've tried several different sources and they all had that bitter, chemical taste. That was a major factor in my switch to max VG. I'm definitely not a super taster though, my taste buds are just odd, lol.
Since Aug 1st.
Once I started using CAP Blueberry Jam, mixed with TFA Blueberry Extra (2- 1 TFA - CAP) I stopped looking for Blueberry flavors because it got me where I wanted to be. Works really well on my Blueberry Cheesecake.
But, all tastes are subjective.....
I'm a fan of Caps bb jam. Good stuff. You need to try it I think you will like it.I’m not sure if I have blueberry jam. I was thinking about trying flv blueberry muffin in it but I first need to do a sft on it to see how it is.
I always wished that I could vape Capella’s dessert flavors.They are just so good but also so sweet. Sadly I had to give up on that.I'm a fan of Caps bb jam. Good stuff. You need to try it I think you will like it.
