Why don't you just sub what grapes you already have? The df should pair up with pretty much any grape well.

I’ll take a look. I know I have at least one. Sometimes it seems like mixers use odd or different flavors in order to promote having to place an order.

If I wanted to mix that I'd just sub.

There is no way I am going to buy every vendor flavor so I sub usually. Unless a lot of people say that xxx brand is the best, I am not going to buy one just for a recipe that I might not even like.
    Exactly

I’ve done it too many times. The worst was when I bought most of the flavors for the Dripping recipe and didn’t really like it that much. However, I have used those flavors in other recipes.

That does suck. I hope it doesn’t happen to me. I just added some red touch to Fran’s cheesecake base.

I forgot I had it but ended up using purple blush and vt grape juice in that recipe. I’m not really going to let it steep. I’m going to fill a tank and try it. I’ve grown pretty tired of most of what I’ve been using so it’s time to switch things up.

I need to go through my screenshots and find the mixing percentages for the strawberry trinity now that I have red touch. Somewhere I have a stone of raspberry yogurt that I used to really like. I might dig that out too.

I enjoyed the purple blush sft, looking forward to playing with it. Used it in something I mixed last week but haven't tasted the mix yet.

Good morning everyone! Hope you’re all having a good day.

I’m going to see if I can mix up one or two simple recipes and see how painful it’ll be for my thumb.

Speaking of simple recipes- I’ve spent a couple of hours during the past week deleting recipes from my “database” that include more than 5 - 6 flavor concentrates.

For me I’ve decided Less is Best lol! Or Keep It Simple lol! Whatever mantra works.

I stopped making “complicated” mixes months ago anyways. I don’t know if it’s my primitive palate but I just can’t taste or appreciate mixes with “lots” of concentrates.

My favorite juices usually have 4 maybe 5 concentrates in them. So I’m just simplifying my recipe list and the backups I keep on my iPad and iCloud.

I’m always blown away when I see these published mixes with 10-12 even more flavors in them!! That’s great that the mixer can differentiate so many flavors but I can’t and I don’t have the patience either to make juice with that many flavors lol!!!

How do other mixers feel, think or never thought about recipes with so many flavors?

When I 1st started mixing I think I felt the more the better but that didn’t last long. Now I’ve been mixing for about 1.5 years and I’m really happy and satisfied with most of the juices I make that are less complex.

I'd love to hear more about the raspberry yogurt stone, been playing with yogurts more and more lately.
