Ok, Fran you motivated me. I cleaned out three tanks and put in new coils and wicks. I loaded them with nonnas cake, flv blueberry muffin, and strubarb custard. I mixed the sft of nonnas cake at 5% and don’t feel like it’s too strong. At first I thought I tasted anise but don’t now. I’m having a hard time describing the flavor. Right now I just taste a light cake flavor.
See, that wasn't so bad. It appears some folks get anise from Nonas cake and some folks get lemon. Some folks must get a good cake flavor from it because a lot of folks like it. As always you have to remember taste is subjective.

A while back I mixed a recipe that was too tart for me if you can believe that...LOL. I should do a remix on that.

I also need to mix one of my old ADV's and more base mix also.

I think the coffee's starting to work..............

What was the recipe that was too tart?
WF SC Oatmeal and Cream 2.5%
    FA Fresh Cream 1%
WF Sweet and Sour Rhubarb 3%

I'm either going to drop the Rhubarb to 1% or use SC Cranberry at 1%.

Of course I don't have the oatmeal. Hard to believe I'm still missing flavors.

Good morning mixologists!!!!!!! Plumbers are gone. The kid went back to bed. In a half hour here I am gonna.... shower and get my thyroid labwork done. He probably will still be asleep when we get up

We had fun yesterday in Bisbee sort of. Well yes. My son wanted an "antique wrench" apparently it was the first type of wrench ever made. We bought it for 7.50 they are going for 100 on ebay. He says he plans to "use it around the house."

    LOL.

I loaded one of the tanks I cleaned with the strubarb custard recipe I found somewhere. I like it well enough but so far it feels like it's lacking in mouth feel. I wonder what would be a good addition?

If I were looking to add mouthfeel to something like that I'd try either TFA Smooth or FA MTS Vape Wizard.

    Just my $0.02.

I looked up a recipe for the nonna's cake to see what the flavor is supposed to taste like. I don't taste the lemon or the nuts in it. I'm tasting a cake-ish taste but still pick up what comes across to me as anise but is probably meant to be something else. It's not bad but not really what I think of as a cake flavor. I've got a couple more new cake sft to try sometime that I picked up on sale from gremlin.

I bet a little NY Cheesecake or Cookie would be good in that.
