Just a reminder...if you forget about rewards like I do. I just got 2 items total of 29 something, used my 2500 reward points which took 25.00 off and free shipping. Can't beat that. So I paid 4.16, good deal.

I went from having 3 mechs 1 RTA, 1 rda over a 6 year span.. and ever since I came back to this forum full time in May I've come down with a serious case of shinyitis.. now I've got in addition 5 regulated mods, another RTA and rda, 6 more RTAs coming. Damn you ECF, damn you.
The vape apocalypse really brought me out of my slumber though. I feel much better.

Just one more purchase, and I'll be set.. I swear!;) 1 more gallon of nic base. Oh, and some batteries.. oh, and..

I actually know the answer to this one.:)
The difference between now and then with the coil heads is because of all the sub-ohm resistance coils out there, with a .2 coil it is much easier to get a bad one that could drop into danger zone for your battery. Better safe than sorry situation.
Ah, this makes sense. I guess I'll be saving my 1.6 ohm Zenith coils for the darkest timeline (when I can no longer build and all my regulated mods have died). Here's hoping that one doesn't prevail.

You can use a coupon and reward points too?

I’m feeling rather stupid now. I finally figured out how to get them apart. I was trying to push the caps apart the wrong way. They are still hard to turn but at least I can get them apart now.
I'm always so glad when it turns out the problem lies with me, not the equipment.

I am referring to the resistance the coil is set up for. A dead short will kill a mech mod. You measure the resistance of the coil to make sure it is safe to use. Example, I use 1.4 Ohm coils in my REOS Grand, and with a 3.7V battery I get 11 watts of vaping power. Been doing it like that for years. I measure the coil, after it is installed but before firing it, with a multi meter. Safety is up to the user with a mech mod.
So I do need something in addition to the Coil Master thing. I suspected as much. Any recommendations for a good multi meter?

I may have an extra one when I wade through all the vape stuff.

No, as long as the atty you will be using will thread onto a regulated mod or your CM 521 Tab in order to check for shorts/resistance, you're good to go. A multi-meter is only necessary if you don't have those options.

That said, they are pretty useful. I have several in varying degrees of capability. You can pick up an inexpensive one at Harbor Freight that should be sufficient for general purposes.

I don’t know why you would need anything besides the coil master. I wouldn’t waste my money on the cheap multimeters at harbor freight. I wouldn’t trust them. I work with multimeters every day and only trust a few brands. The ones I use the most everyday are about $400 each.

I heard back from VapeNW and they are giving me a gift card since they made a mistake and said that the mechs I ordered shouldn't have shown the fuse included. I'm good with that.
This is the Kamry K100? If so, that's weird, because I got fuses with mine.
