Man dood this not really about vaping except I'm all stocked up and glad/sorry. I will get back to vaping matters but my adoptive mom, @FranC always reads my rants (it's overly long, I am psyching myself up to like, go fire up my work computer NOW and see what's ON it.) and then has nice, sensible advice.

Don't read it if you don't want I had to get this off my chest it's like back to vaping SOON. God.

I ordered the dani box silver 21700 and the charger and a liter of nic. At the time I was happy I did it but now I am not.

Y'all know I like to announce my trials and tribulations HERE first. So, I was dealing with the thyroid, still had not gotten it in almost a week, and tried every which way to Sunday asking the doc to fix her prescribing error.

Finally I sent her a stern email because I was like, "IDK what to do." it was like, since you seem to have trouble understanding me verbally I need meds "X, Y, Z" and they need to be bridged until Dec 23rd. I told her to either fill my meds or refer me to another doctor and if she didn't it would be considered patient abandonment and like, at that point I would have to take it to another level. She called in my meds.

She also reported me to the Risk Management woman who is kind of... sharky. I didn't know it at the time, but that is my conclusion. I asked five people if I could have my labs and they all said yes. I signed a release. OF course I did not access my own medical chart.

Anyway I got some email from her a few days ago about calling her. No info about what. I did, the next day and she started SCREAMING at me about how I did not have the right to my labs until the doctor reviewed them. This was on like day one of my NORMAL meds. She hung up on m so I emailed her, like "What is going one? What role am I in here, I am the patient or the employee? Why are you asking me about my lab work? Am I required to answer your questions? Etc."

She replied (in all red ink) WHUT is she 12, and also cc'ing my supervisor and the head of HR about "professional behavior" and docs having the right to "wait for a week to reply to me." and a bunch of other crap.

I was home by then. My cellphone had died, so I had no way to CALL anyone. I kind of tried to email my supervisor and she sent a police WELFARE check on me, which, when I looked at the email the next day, I don't blame her a BIT. Finally it was like, "Either I go get this cell phone fixed, I mean crying is not a sin" or I just off myself because it's too damn stressful. I did get my phone fixed and I cried the whole time. I think I was in some sort of cortical storm, because I have LITTLE memory of that night just bits and pieces. Anyway I called the husband, my boss called the husband, and he kind of explained. I kind of thought he told my boss I was going out on FMLA, but maybe not IDK, because I had this new phone but the ringer was turned off I guess (IDK I did not investigate it much) and all these people were calling and thinking I was dead. The clinic manager showed up (she was really nice she was like, "that complaint is BS, we all know you did nothing wrong, you can talk to me Anna, we were ALL worried about you Dr. Jon (head guy who I guess no longer hates me) was going to come but he was finishing up the site visit.." (Thank God he did not come, I was denturless and a wreck.)

Anyway she was being all reassuring and I was like, "I have never had a HIPPA complaint. No one said it was internal and besides which it doesn't matter. Also, nut job new Risk Manager was so menacing I had no clue if I was allowed to talk to ANYONE."

Anyway, the husband showed up when she was here and so they chatted and he was like, "I am sorry she is not RIGHT." (True but I will be.) I have a doc appointment for her at 3:30 so like, we will get FMLA paperwork.

My doc was all interested in the story. I think there may be some arcane rule that I am not required to KNOW but no one else knows it either, that you aren't supposed to get labwork until it's reviewed by (I looked up the statute until it is reviewed my NOT my doc, but a "covered medical provider" and a pharmacist meets that definition so that woman can go pound sand.

Anyway I sent an email to the "holy three" I figured hey why not include EVERYONE and told corporate risk management woman she had some nerve calling ME unprofessional when she had screamed at me for 5--6 minute and HUNG up on me without answering my questions then sending me an all red email response as if she were 12, and as far as professional code of CONDUCT it was my DUTY to tell her she was misinformed given EVERY person I asked gave me the same answer which was "of course you can have it." This has to be some REALLY arcane rule my ex doc pulled out of her .... Anyway, so I was like, (she had been like "I am not misinformed I am required to be completely impartial and consider EVERYONE." I was like, "I don't consider you rapid fire questioning me then hanging up as I am asking YOU questions t be impartial and fair, it was more like the opposite it was more like ENTRAPMENT."

I also asked her in what world she felt she could cc my supervisor and the head of HR during an open investigation since I WAS cooperating with her and since I had ASKED if I needed to continue so I was clearly cooperating. I also pointed out the pharmacy (who is a covered medical professional) HAD flagged my labs as dangerous so I wanted to know why the doc thought she had a week when they didn't even want to give me more than FOUR tablets. I pointed out she had admitted to prescribing errors, I pointed out her rationale for changing my thyroid was "IT COULD KILL YOU ANY SECOND" and that my TSH was FAR lower now than it was then, so it was remarkable how cavalier she was.

Anyway, I was like, "You had better not try to complete your investigation ma'am I am out sick now and I don't even know if I am ALLOWED to speak to you on FMLA but you will get a more formal response from me later."

In any case, I was also like, "If it was Ms. My Doc's name, perhaps she felt the need for a preemptive strike but if I am considering reporting someone well at LEAST like, I give them the CHANCE to change their behaviors before I do because I realize medical professionals make mistakes all the TIME, which is what I told her. It takes a LOT for me to get upset. But a false report of an arcane rule might do it. (Probably not I have a horror of reporting ANYONE.)

Anyway, I kind of ended with "I don't care WHO it is, I just want to get better from my thyroid stuff and frankly last night was terrifying (both the HIPPA complaint AND my lost memory.) and I just want to get back to work to my job who I love and my employees who I trust.

THIS WHOLE SITE VISIT , Ms. Risk manager, we were told, "If you do not know the answer to something, take the site visitor to the person who DOES know." I was like, "Ms Risk manager, as a PATIENT, if I do not know the answer to something, I ask several employees and if they say the same thing I do it. As an employee, if I do not know the answer to something, I take the patient to the person who does."

In my particular job function I am not really required to be knowledgeable about lab work. If a patient wants to like, KNOW about lab work (which has not happened yet) I would probably ESCORT them to the lab area and like, say, "Ask your question here."

I have not logged back in to find out the outcome but like, F it, I have a feeling I will not be cited, but MAN I have not had a HIPPA complaint in 20 years.

They suck. They ruin your life, actually. You can get fired, fined, jailed, your license and ability to work taken away. I'm not kidding. It is TERRIFYING.

Man. Well I got a couple weeks to recover. The husband keeps wanting to know if I'm awake yet. Kinda.

Because the pharmacy (attached to my work) reviewed my lab work, this woman really does not have a leg to stand on. I did mention I trusted pharmacists more than nurse practitioners because they knew more ABOUT MEDS, well, they flagged it as emergent now I need to cite a couple statues and it should be over.

Yeah, I could probably sue my doctor for ALL of this, but it is an incredible PITA and I hate the idea. Partially why I am getting away from my coworker medical professionals etc.

I actually kind of hate the risk manager more, she is totally a vagina, to put it politely. Actually, I just want this all to go away.

    Anna
I really hope this works out for you, Anna and you can get back to work. I have a daughter and a daughter-in-law who both have thyroid disease so I do know a good deal about it though they haven't had a problem with their doctors yet. Take a deep breath and try to calm down before you send any more emails.

I filled the Podstick. Then I proceeded to have a moment of panic because I couldn't find my cheesecake I mixed before vaca or any of the 15ml mixes that I haven't finished yet. Luckily I found them all. That was a thank goodness moment.

@hittman I found the Podstick just a bit of a pain to fill. Do you know if they sell that fill bottle separate so I can get more or maybe you've found another bottle that will work? I'll be giving it a try in a few minutes.

Here is an example of some of the fill bottles I use. They have the luer lock caps and you use any blunt size luer needle to fill. Much easier than droppers........
    just take a look.

@hittman I put batteries in the Gen just to check out weight and I don't find it heavy. On the other hand, the Gbox100 is already hefty without batteries.

    I'm glad you like it.

I don't think they sell that bottle. I couldn't find it. I haven't tried any others but have been meaning to try one of my 10ml bottles. I know it needs to be a stiff tip to press down the fill valve. Once you do it a few times you'll get the hang of it.

I've been using my syringes and 14g blunt tip needles that I bought initially for mixing to fill my Erlkönigin. The fill holes are so tiny
Basically the same as me but instead of a syringe I use a bottle I fill with my ejuice. And actually make my mixes in them. There are also stoppers for the luer lock tips so when I take the needle off, I just put the stopper back on and put it back into my case. They have all different size bottles ranging from 15ml and up. And I have some wide mouth boston rounds and some with the really small opening and have been able to find the luer lock caps for both. The 14 gauge is the best size to use if filling a rta tank as it only takes a couple of seconds. I am also able to use it on my zbiip very easily...

    :)

That is super handy. I'm going to have to look for these Luerlock caps for my boston rounds. I considered getting some droppers with my recent order of boston rounds, but I thought I would just continue to use my syringes.
