Good morning random folks.
Have you any plans for today?
Another thing I'm picky about is having my flavor cases upright. My 50 year old parts thingies with drawers. Six bottles per drawer. Each drawer numbered. Inventory with location sorted alphabetically on a spreadsheet. Man, we sure do get into the fine detail, huh?

I think I'll really like a good chocolate/NET mix so interested in your findings.Just received my Stixx order. He threw in another freebie to try. Nicaraguan Seco. I'll give it a try. He mixed up bottle sizes on me. Ordered a 30ml bottle of Dark Fire and a 15 ml bottle of Black Cavendish. He got it backwards. Oh well, no big deal. So I will do some sfts...the Honduran Seco, Black Cavendish, and Perique. Think I'll mix a couple Chocolate NETs right away using the Black Cavendish. This is kind of a last, "good" chance at finding a chocolate recipe that really shines (using bottled concentrates). Want to see what the BC does to the exhale which is where these bottled chocolates are kind of falling short for me. The Seco should be a bit milder versus the Ligero. Seco is a mid plant harvest and will be mellower versus Ligero which is top plant.
I kinda like the six-bottle drawer size. I pair up a lot of bottles that are used in the same recipes. And six bottles isn't too many that a quick glance cannot find what I'm looking for. That cardboard on top is actually hinged so I flop it over the front to keep light out. Yeah, a little cheesy but ask me if I care. It works and allows me to keep the things out in the open so I don't have to keep stashing it in a dark closet.I like that!
I have to adapt some sort of organization, not that my flavours are disorganized, just they are out growing their current method. Have an Ikea shelving unit that I picked up for another project that did not grow to fruition - slide out drawers can be purchased and the unit is plenty large enough to allow growth. Wayne on DIY or Die has a similar unit (although bigger than mine). My challenge is figuring out where to put it to allow easy access. Like to mix in my kitchen, but thinking of moving the unit to my office and purchasing a small beer fridge for nic storage (and of course beer!!). Have to get approval from the boss of the house first. Kitty does not like change!
For labeling, I use only the finest of painters tape and the most precise sharpie money can buy!
Yes. I plan to take a bath, make some blondies using roasted walnut oil, and endure the headache I woke up with.Good morning random folks.Have you any plans for today?
I've been trying Fran. Black Cavendish would go well with choco. Just not sure if the choco concentrates will cooperate. Still have my DIY NETs as another avenue. My tobacco should be here tomorrow so I can get the maceration process started.I think I'll really like a good chocolate/NET mix so interested in your findings.
Add some robotics with a little software and you'll have that sucker down! Some exciting details from my mixing life:
I use really cheap white circular labels on which I write the recipe name and mixing date with a Bic knock-off. I stick them on and then slap a piece of tape over 'em to guard against smearing.
Each of my flavors is identified (in Sharpie protected by tape) with the case, side, row, and slot in which it resides (e.g. 1a34 = case 1, side a, row 3, slot 4). When I mix--usually a ton of recipes at a time--I pull all the flavors for everything I'm going to make in the order in which I plan to mix, keeping the ingredients for each recipe together. When I'm done with a particular flavor, I set it on the counter where I'm not working, arranging the bottles according to the side of the particular nail polish organizer in which they live. When I'm done mixing, I return the bottles in each group to their appropriate slots. Restoring the flavors to their proper positions goes very quickly.
Like @FranC, I store my organizers upright.

Cheapo is sexy.I think my boxes will be sort of like the nail cases and Bronze's drawers. I may number them or I may not...not sure yet. I've been saving mailing boxes from all my vape gear, although I'll probably need more. I use 30 ml and some 4 oz flavors...I never go below 30 although I do have some random 15 ml sizes. Most are 30 ml. What I need to do is go through all my flavors and put all the CAP together, etc. See what size box I'll need for each brand. And if I have too many of say CAP, I'll split them up like fruits together, tobaccos together, etc. I like using what I've got and I'm really kind of frugal. I know it's hard to see but I'm a cheapo in most things in my life. I really don't want to spend much more money on vaping. And in the future if I want storage bins to make things look nicer I'll head to the thrift store. I may head there tonight just to see what they have.
Going to the thrift store for storage is genius!
Hope you lose the headacheSome exciting details from my mixing life:

Got a french press at a thrift store for $4 that I'm going to use for my extracts.Going to the thrift store for storage is genius!
