I'm really loving the 3 flavor simplicity and might try to follow that for a bit. Maybe 2 different fruits or just a bit of chocolate.?? REcipes sure don't take 15 flavors to be good.
Three flavors is nice and simple but five is still simple. 10 or 15 makes no sense to me either.

Yeah, I think I have a couple with 6 or 7. My mind can't comprehend anything beyond that. I have enough trouble with SFTs.
    Exactly.

I had a hard time computing that any flavor would be good at 12%. Glad I followed your recipe cause the Raspberry Yogurt is really good.

I put the brakes on at 7 and I don't have many of those.

I reckon the only time it makes sense to have a large number of flavorings is if you are using multiple versions of something. Like several different brands of a fruit. Too many different flavors and they seem to just produce a blur, nothing comes through. I know there are recipes around with a long list of ingredients but it never worked out for me.

You need to try it with the Greek Yogurt and tell me if you notice a difference at 12%. Truthfully it took me awhile to wrap my mind around 12% too but that yogurt is stubborn. Had to really amp it up to make an appearance. I need to pick up more already.

I've mixed a couple of the many flavors recipes quite awhile back. They didn't impress me any.

    That's exactly right.

Cool. That's why I added the VBIC. The yogurt needed more oomph and the VBIC was just the ticket. I think I'm more sensitive to vanilla than the average person. I can detect small amounts easily. Vanilla tends to wash out the other flavors so I have to be careful how much I use. 1/2% is plenty in this recipe IMO.

I have a lot of vanilla but usually prefer creams. Fa fresh cream is a fav of mine.

    Somewhere between here and there
I know I've mentioned it before but I've made purchases of many flavors in order to make some of those 10-12 flavor recipes. The descriptions were so good that I just had to try them and ordered most of the flavors just for those recipes. I didn't end up liking any of them enough to remix but I'm not mad because now I have those flavors to use in other recipes.

And you also soothed your curiosity.

I just refuse to ever mix one of those again.

Perhaps there are those with far more sophisticated palettes than mine. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. But I suspect there's also some wanna-be-chefs out there who go hog wild to satisfy their egos.

Yeah, I think it leans to the ego thing.

    Morning, mixers.

We've turned cool and damp, rain on the way later this week. Guess our summer is over ;)

If you have an infection you really need antibiotics. I hate to pound on it but I had 7 teeth pulled in 2017, got an infection and wound up on full life support for 5 days. The infection grew and I had to have a drain put in my back - 3 months in the hospital!

Not saying this will happen to you (God I hope not!) but I don't mess around with teeth issues anymore. Hope it gets better real soon, but I'd see a dentist.

While not having experienced that, it's a not rare occurrence, and has always left me wondering why oral health isn't covered under medical... Oral health problems can kill you just as fast as Covid... as the infection spreads into the blood.
