Hi random folk, figured I'd check in here at my home away from home. Been very busy lately, but I managed to mix two new recipes. I tried one, strange how it tastes like a cookie even though no cookie flavors were used... Hope everyone's doing ok, keep on keeping on people.

I did get the job (I think) I start next week Tues for orientation. I never ever was hired without a face to face interview but since corona the administrator said they do it by phone. I'm mainly concerned with infection control and do hope what he told me is true. At least I can get some type of insurance (well its a type of self funded though Maestro health). Never heard of it but something is better than nothing. It might be a step above marketplace insurance.

I'm looking forward to making a huge order from BCF or River Supply. I'm still puzzled why my VG from River Supply (which is palm derived) builds up on my windows within days. I have bought from BCF and Essential depot (both the same/palm derived) and never had a problem with build up. I think I'll buy from the smaller vendor BCF.

Anyone know if Heartland VG is good? Thanks for reading! It's hot in the tundra of WI.

I don't use much VG and can't even remember where I ordered from last. Maybe ECX or possibly Amazon

My nephew is visiting his dad this weekend and he is sick with 100.3 fever and many of the COVID symptoms. He supposedly tested negative for COVID last week, but those tests seem not to be very accurate. SIL is taking him to doctor now. I sure hope it's not COVID. My brother, who is nephew's dad has seizures which increase in frequency with higher temperatures!

His Mom hasn't been good about social distancing.
Yikes! Hope the little one is okay!

    Good afternoon everybody!

I'm looking forward to making a huge order from BCF or River Supply.

I just placed a nice order with BCF thus insuring there will be a sale this weekend. Just FYI.

    On another note:

After mixing for over a year now and having over 200+ flavors I notice my orders now are for larger bottles of flavoring that I know I love. I am really enjoying DIY and wish I had started doing this a long time ago. I would have saved a lot of money and kept myself from being disappointed with juices I did not like.

It was just four years ago I would get an attitude with someone if they came into a thread about retail juices and announced, "I just mixed 300ml of Banana Split for $6 and my God is it good".

    I get it now.

I watched a podcast by DIY or Die the other night. If any of you guys are curious about a lot of the caramel flavorings out there it's a good watch. If you don't feel like watching it all there is a timestamped legend provided letting you know when particular caramels are discussed.

Here is an article I came upon that may explain the difference of why some tests are negative.

NOT-GM-20-025: Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) regarding the Availability of Urgent Competitive Revisions for Research on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the Causative Virus SARS-CoV-2

    It's
    Purpose

NIGMS is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to highlight the urgent need for research on SARS-CoV-2 and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Thanks Koolkiz and Congrats on the new job!!

We won't know if L has COVID until Friday. They've determined that it is a virus and did something called a rapid-fire test for several non-COVID viruses and all of them were negative.

Woooah I am blitzed. Fried. All I had was my work requirement, alas, or so I thought. It was rather annoying and it sucked, probably. IDK. I was required to put 'Until present" so then I had to be like, "Oh, I am going to be resigning very soon.... In the comments. I cited my husband's and I's complex requirements as far as our dual home situation to get ready to leave, as well as the fact we were leaving in any case, and I did not want to try to reintegrate into my work (in these ever changing COVID times) for a few weeks or a month when I knew I would be moving in a short time and I would need to help my husband in accomplishing it.

I hope that doesn't make me into a female cat, but like, I did not know WHAT ELSE to put I mean, I already RESIGNED. So that is what they did. They can think I am all lined up or they can believe me. IDK.

So that meant I had to finish and release like ASAP and there was all this other complicated stuff like "PRINT what you did, download what you did, all that stuff. Electronic signatures. All that stuff. I have feeling Walmart is not happening and well I guess it is what it is. Because the minute you sign a background check it's not good, is what it not is. I mean, like, IDK you get the gremlins if you are me. I don't know why I should but like, it is what it is.

When searching my maiden name, dude, Spokeo (I was in that service for a time and it was not good is what it was not) so I didn't even click. It said my current name had a court record. Spooky how they attached. LOL. The internet in general is terrifying frankly. Probably changing the husband's name or SOMETHING. IDK. I just hope I can gather me to do yoga, and go get my prescriptions. Because I am now fried and upset and well URGH it is what it is.

Well I have not coughed since my first abx. But I took all those steroids and they did not work. I tend to think you don't roid up a person with lung inflammation because well, you know, that can immediately lead to bacterial infection. I have a new albuterol inhaler awaiting me AFTER I can get my energy back, because I had a refill on one. I deeply hope it was a good and not a terrible one. There are some inhalers that simply are AWFUL and well it will be like a mystery thig I guess.

Man.... I am so wrong right now. I should get on the mat, sooner rather than later. It was all that paperwork that did it really and truly I am certain.

Yup, Heh. And it is free floating too. I've just got too many balls in the air and I have for some time. It is ANNOYING. I worry about good outcomes, I worry about bad ones. I get frustrated by everything!! Argh! If I could afford it, I would like call my therapist mom and ask for a session. Which is like ,I know what I should do, if I were immensely rich. Besides, I know what to do, I am all ready for yoga, then I shall drive to CVS and Walmart can happen upon the morrow.

My evil work HR lady said "Thank you Anna" and that was it. I was like, um could you provide me with confirmation and//or let me know who will be answering all my questions.

I got my cord for my iPad today so I’m back in business and on 30% charge. Work has been rough and I’ve worked overtime so I’ve just been chilling in the evenings.

I’ve done no mixing so not much to say on that front.
    Glad you got your cord.

I got out and mowed tonight. It’s still pretty hot at 88 but at least there was a good breeze.
We had a sunny 86 today but humidity was wicked low so it was nice. Hotter tomorrow so I’m hoping the humidity stays low but I’m sure it won’t.
