You're probably right. I didn't take into consideration that it would no longer be 10ml. My brain is too tired to think about it any more today. What about the nic content? When you say base, I assume you mean with nic in it. If you add 3.8ml of base then what would the end nic content be? This is like one of those old math word problems that I hated. You could make a flavorless base in your nic strength, at the VG/PG of your choice, then add a little to your flavored bottle, shake it up, test it, repeat if necessary, doing small additions each time. It wouldn't be scientific or repeatable, but if you're just trying to make it vapable, that would work.

I smoked 1 - 1 1/2 packs a day of Ultra Lights for 42+ years. When I started vaping, I bought 3 little 10mL eliquids at 6mg and 2 at 11mg. I used only about 5mL of the 2 @ 11mg. Vaping more, while slowly cutting back on the smokes I alotted myself each day per week at a time...did it for me. I only vaped 6mg eliquids during the next 2 months. At the end of that time, I was totally smoke free and vaping only. I had no nic cravings, no jitters, etc., and have never craved a smoke since then.
Because everyone's different though...I'd mix him 2 batches and get him on 2 set-ups for them. 1 batch/set-up at maybe 12mg or 18mg (for when a craving is really bad), and another batch/set-up at 6mg or 8mg for the rest of the times. Finding a couple eliquids he really likes the taste of, is very helpful, too. If he doesn't especially like the taste of what you've been making, and prefer it over his ciggie taste (or at least like it as much)...the nic content might not be the problem. That's worked for a few local people I've worked with to switch to vaping.

Funny you should say that. I've had it in and out of my various carts several times. I've seen too many complaints about leaking, filling (tight, you have to remove the DT) that I finally decided against it. But I'm happy it works for you. Looks like there are some QC issues with this tank.

buy the larger Hasturs too, but they were not available. Did you ever try the GATA clone? I remember hearing lots of good things about it. I think the reason I decided not to get it is because I was afraid it would be too loose for me, but it sounds like you like a looser draw than I do. I think the tank is glass.

I was about the same, Marlboro Lights (which IIRC were 1.2% nic or 12mg) 1.5 packs a day. I started at 24mg using cigalikes and carto's and got a nic buzz. I was lucky and quit smoking in three days and never looked back. Dropped to 18mg quickly and then about 6 months later down to 12mg. About 1.5 years after that w/hardware changes I dropped to 6mg. Now I'm at 3mg and TONS of hardware changes. What a ride......
When I started vaping I went with 24mg and it was too much so I went with 18mg. That was good and I went with that for quite awhile before dropping to 12mg. I'm at 6mg now with no plans to drop anymore.I smoked Non-filtered Luckies for years. I switched to Winston filters about 2 years before I started vaping.
Mine don't leak unless majorly underwicked. Everyone's experience with a particular RTA is different. I think you just have to look at the consensus of opinion, cross your fingers and hope when you buy.
I've read several complaints of the atty leaking from the turntable's slot--don't make me look for them. It may be user error, QC problem, or a design flaw. Watch Mark's video at 6:55. That turntable spins and tends to pop out of the hole under the coil. This may be the culprit. Pure speculation on my part.

I read that the slot airflow disc can leak, but I don't use the slotted discs so I've never had that problem.
Vendor in China has them in SS and in Black, reduced to $25.90, and they take PayPal. I checked out their Shipping and Delivery info, and it looks OK, to me.

I remember hearing that people really like the Vaporesso Gen. It's a dual-battery mod and it is supposed to be very lightweight. I don't have any dual-battery mods but I remember thinking if I were to buy one the Gen would be a good one.
