We never got a call back and we are miserable. At 2am the wife called AHS and they said you "don't put in a request", so I got lied to again, you go stay somewhere and put in for reimbursement. We will do that tomorrow I think because when the repairman shows up and says he can't fix it because it is over $200 and he has to get approval I will start murdering people. We have to get out of this - it is hard to take any longer. Going to bed now at 3am.
This is why I keep a window unit in the shed, if I didn't have one I would ask around to see if any family or friends had one I could borrow.

It's a miserable existence to have no air in the summer.

Morning everyone! So I mixed a couple of recipes last night. Since they had flavorings that had some alcohol in them, I left the cap off. However, I normally put the cap back on after a couple of hours. I forgot, and woke up this morning a noticed that they were still open. How long is too long to leave the cap off your mixes?

I have 2 portables, they are great and you can move them around easily.

I have at least 15 bottles of flavors sitting on my bureau waiting for me to find a place for them.
I need to get mine better organized. I have all of my flavorings in a shoe box. Granted, I only have about 30-35 flavors at the moment. But it is still not the most efficient storage method.

I know you don't want to file an insurance claim. And my insurance company told me after straight line wind damage (yes I've been through two of those and they are bad) I shouldn't use insurance unless the damage is over $5,000. Also, my insurance said as long as I don't file more than one claim within 5 years I won't get dropped and my rates won't increase. State Farm paid for my new roof. But maybe you can look into these two options (from State Farm after a fire), especially option 1. Hang in there!

    1. Find a safe place to stay. No matter the amount of damage, you likely can't stay in your own home. If staying with friends or family isn't an option, talk to your local disaster relief agency, such as the American Red Cross or Salvation Army. These organizations will help you find a safe place to stay temporarily.
    2. Contact your insurance agent. You'll need to start a claim and address your immediate needs. "Loss of use" funds from your insurance policy may cover living and other daily expenses. If you receive these funds or an advance on your claim, save all receipts and keep a detailed record of all purchases. Your insurance agent should also be able to help you secure your property and offer recommendations for cleaning up or restoring salvageable items.

Hope you get air soon. Wouldn’t hurt to have a window unit or portable.

I wouldn’t leave the caps off for days but they’ll be fine overnight.

You could easily fit those in one case.

Oh, I know. I plan to get a case of some kind. I there are some options at Harbor Freight I will probably be using. But it is not a big priority. Unless they decide to ban those on Sept 9th too.

I'm sure you're safe there. The double-sided polish cases will hold a lot of juice.

    Somewhere between here and there
I know everyone here is familiar with my struggle to get the new WF flavor pack from BCF which took three shipments before I actually received it. When I was putting them in a case yesterday, I realized that there were 21 flavors instead of 22. I didn't get the amaretto that is supposed to be in the flavor pack. BCF is going to hate me. I sent them an email asking why it wasn't included. I'll bet they will just want to give me store credit instead of shipping it. Who knows, maybe it wasn't in the pack they offered.

    That is crazy.

I have a package that left Indiana, went down to Mississippi, then over to Georgia, and is now traveling through the Midwest... I guess I am getting my money's worth in shipping cost.
