Personally, if i had enough clear nic for my use, I'd likely break it down into some smaller bottles, store it in a freezer, and use it to PIF to people who get caught in a bind. But that's just me.

It's not just you :) ....it's me, too.

ETA: This may not be a popular way of thinking about it, but:
If its quality is good enough now...for it to be the choice of what to use first, instead of clearer nic base...then why contact RS about it and accept replacements being sent, for free? ;) That just doesn't seem fair to the vendor, IMO.

I would not have contacted the vendor if I thought everything was ok with the nicotine. But due to my lack of experience with nic base, I was not sure if the nic was actually bad or not. I might try a little of it to test out, but I would just bottle the rest up and set it aside.

I wouldn't pif something I thought wasn't good enough for me to use. I think it is fair to get a replacement because it isn't up to par. I don't feel like I have to toss it or use it as insecticide to be fair/honest.

For me, I expect clean nic to be supplied. If I receive something that's off, appears to be pretty heavily oxidized, I'd have zero qualms requesting a replacement. Suppliers need to be pushed back on if they seem to be shipping marginal product.

Well I contacted River Supply and showed them the pictures I posted earlier of my nicotine. They already shipped out two new liters to me as replacement.
I hope we get clearer nicotine this time! :) Glad you looked at your nic.

Oh...I expect clean nic, too. It's not contacting the vendor and requesting a replacement that doesn't seem fair to me. It's doing that IF the original product was good enough that I'd still use it. Like I said...I figured that probably wouldn't be a popular way of thinking. So I'm not surprised. People don't have the same opinions or ideas about everything. Doesn't make mine right or wrong, nor those of others either. I'm done with it.

Your nic looks oxidized as well. When I order nic I expect clearer nic. This isn't 2010 where one has to suffer with whatever a vendor sells. I do appreciate RS sending a replacement. I have no idea if I will try the oxidized nic or not. However, it will come in handy for my garden. A natural insecticide. P.S. I had nic that turned a dark brown -darker than the photos I posted. It turned out great for keeping the bad bugs at bay. I'm also careful not to spray when the pollinators are out. Nicotine has a short life as a application for controlling bad insects.

Edit: I hope it doesn't get oxidized again. One week delivery date Just checked fedex

True :) I had a bit of Nic in the freezer when we moved 2013 (Nic was in the freezer since 2011??) I had forgotten about it. I opened and smelled it. I am NOT an expert... but I smelled a sweet? clear yet tobacco smell? So hard to explain smells... Like Grandpa smoking a sweet cigar behind the sheets on the clothesline, because Grandma won't allow it in the house. LOLOL. Anywhoo, just a hint of smell, yet enough to invoke sweet memories. (Like Moms homemade bread)

My tracking number for the replacement is showing that it will arrive tomorrow. Weird.
