I've got a persimmon tree, it's five years old now and this year it has about 20 fruits. I expect to wait a few more years to get a good harvest. In London I had a greengage tree. They are a bit fussy. About every third year it produced a huge harvest, Other years it was just a few or none. I love greengages but never seen them for sale over here. I checked the charts and you can't grow them in Indiana, too hot in summer and too cold in the winter.
Citrus bears heavy one year, light the next usually. But, a light year, we still get 40+ dozen fruit at a minimum off each tree. Thank heavens we only have 11!

A thermostat isn't expensive at all, depending on the vehicle you have. IIRC, mine at the Advanced Auto Parts store about 3 years ago was <$30. It was easy-peasy to replace it, too...maybe 5 minutes. But, my vehicle is older. It doesn't have the computerized "stuff" on it...which makes replacing or repairing things more expensive and difficult to do-it-yourself.
I tried to reach the thermostat. No frinkin way my small hand will fit. I honestly believe the thermostat is stuck open/closed somewhere. I'm still getting heat/air conditioning but that darn check engine light is still on. I have a print out from autozone with code PO128 I had to do the test myself for free at autozone. I may have to do some more investigation with it before shelling out any money.

If using weed n feed and putting down seed, what is the process? How long do you wait between those two?

I’m pretty sure you don’t want to put weed n feed down when seeding. After i spread the seed then I put a fertilizer right after that. The one I use is called golf course starter. I don’t know it for a fact but believe that the weed n feed could cause the seed to not grow.

Oh, I know that. I wasn't very clear. I need to know how long to wait before using the 2nd thing and if it is better to do one or the other first. Hope that makes more sense.

Is verticut different from a aerator that punches holes in the lawn? Thise I've seen.

Yes. The aerator pulls up plugs out of the ground and in my opinion leaves a mess. The verticutter just cuts shallow grooves in the dirt.

Right now is the best time here to seed. If I was going to do weed n feed then I’d wait at least two weeks to let the new grass get started.

What kind of grass do you have @hittman ? We’ve got Bermuda and with all this rain this summer it’s the thickest and lushest I’ve ever seen. I had to raise my blades yet again last weekend to get through it. I cut mine every two weeks and I’m counting down the time when I’m done for the season. My last cut for mainly chopping up leaves is typically in November. And start all over in Feb/Mar. I’m ready.

Good morning random folks :)Have you any plans today?
Well, apparently my freezer is being delivered today. So now I actually have to wash out all of my amber bottles. I've been planning on doing that ever since I got the bottles, but never got around to it.

@FranC, what fun activities are on your agenda for the day?

I have a fun activity of cleaning and organizing my basement/workshop. I can't wait. And then after that a super duper fun activity of cleaning out my detached garage/catch all building.

That's the spirit! I like your attitude.

See, @FranC, any activity can be fun if you want it to be. It's all in your mindset.

I am so glad I’m stocked up. I’m shocked that geek vape only submitted pmtas on the boost. My least fav of theirs. Or have they submitted more that I’m unaware of?
    No idea on that.
