I have been feeling like crap all day. I woke up this morning with a high fever and incredibly lethargic. I went back to bed after feeding all the reptiles. I woke up around twelve still feeling terrible, thought maybe a warm bath might help, but it didn't. I went back to bed and woke up about an hour ago. I am still feeling the same and will probably be turning it in early tonight.

I screwed up a tad yesterday. When the wife and I were heading back home I stopped at a large truck stop to use the bathroom. While in the bathroom I noticed everyone looking at me strangely. A very uncomfortable feeling in a men's room. But then I realized, I forgot to put my mask on...

With the pre-existing condition I have I need to be more aware. Dumb move.
    Hope you feel better soon.

I did the same thing yesterday. Went to pick up my car from service and started in without my mask. They came toward me and I remembered, luckily had one in my purse.

I am not feeling well today, either. I am so cold and it isn't that cold here.

    Your GSDs are incredibly beautiful.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the male and female my wife and I saw in Oklahoma yesterday. The male was humongous and had one of the largest heads I have ever seen on a GSD. It's been 8 years since Kai was a pup; what food do you recommend for a GSD pup? We picked up a small bag of Taste of the Wild for puppies, but I am reading now that it's not that great for GSD's.
    Thank you!!!

Earthborn Holistic® Dog Food Recipes | Earthborn Holistic® Pet Food

We feed them Earthborn Holistic. They do have a puppy food. Every month I switch Carli's food between the Alaska Pollock Meal & Pumpkin, Roasted Lamb (unrefined) and Primitive Natural. Switching them up helps to keep their systems in primo condition.

Once they are used to one food you slowly add a small amount of another into the mix of the old food. Increasing the ratio by a little every couple days. Takes about a week to two weeks for them to be fully on the new food without issues. After a month on the new food you can go back to the old food without mixing. They will not have any problem whatsoever. Then add a third food same as above.

You probably already know this, and forgive me if you do, but with GSD's being large chested we always soak the food with warm water in their food bowl. Don't need much water, just enough so the water covers all the food. Leave it sit for 15-20 minutes before feeding.

Soaking their food will expand it. This is important to avoid bloat. If you don't soak their food then it expands in their stomach which is no good for any large breed dog.

Do we have puppy pics yet ??? :D

Be careful guys/ladies! Covid is more airborne than droplet. I'm always thinking I caught it. Paranoia for sure. I had to quit the current job I had because I was being forced to do a covid unit and then cross contaminating a regular unit to boot. Doing two halls/units. I won't be part of the problem. More to the story but I'll just leave it at that. I asked for a clean n95 and was told "no". Part of my doctors recommendation was to have a clean mask for all interactions.
P.S. I was looking at lab information (the lab my job used) related to the covid testing (nares) and it stated its only 87% accurate. I suppose testing is better than nothing

Thank you for providing the food brand information. I tried researching it last night on the GSD forum and by the time I was finished I was even more confused. I did not know that about the bloat, so thank you for providing this much needed tip. We did soak Kai's food but it wasn't because we knew about the bloat. It was the only way we could get him to eat it.

I introduce Buster Rage Tyson.... or, simply Buster as well like to call him:

He's only 6 weeks old, and I know what they suggest age wise, but he is really doing well.

Anyone familiar with livestream events on YT? Do they start playing automatically if I have it up on my browser at the scheduled time, or do I need to physically click play at the scheduled time. I'm going to set up a recording program to "tape" :D a livestream on YouTube tomorrow, and should be able to schedule my end of it..

Have a funeral service tomorrow for my grandmother, and for multiple reasons I can't be there, and much of my family the same, so they are livestreaming the service. Not only can I not be there, I'll be working and can't watch it live.
    Sorry about your grandmother @barkfunklerbunk . :(

In my effort to ah, make mixing great again I actually was organized THIS week enough to like, get my work done, read BACK a bit in the thread,, etc. etc. I even set up a session with my DUMB as rocks doc who is acting DUMB because he doesn't want to call pharmacologists for me. I DO want to call them but they all say crud like Oh, bring your 800 dollars and MAYBE he will talk to you during your initial evaluation. He broke me, I moved he can darn well fix me or provide meds for life.

    I swear.

So anyway he found me the ONE CRAPPY psychopharmacologies in WV and suggested I call him. I told him to stop doctor reading and to READ my email and I was not asking HIM to recommend me doctors, I found HIM did I not, I would provide him with a list of oh, say 20 and like, HE could just move on down the list until he found one who is like, "Okay I will see your patient."

I think I'm getting over the Ambien w/d Heh. They are providing me with like a cofacilitator and I thought she was a psychologist so she was gonna suck (and no offense psychologists but you suck) but many DO suck but she is a SW and if you could come up with someone even LESS like my predecessor (as in bubbly, cheerful and all nutz) you would have to try hard. She was like a character of me. in a nice way, and whatnot. LOL.

I explained how all they were hating ATM (when people stay in one job for oh. 14 years, that happens) well you have a bumpy ride. She was like "I HAD THE SAME THING." She was like asking about my groups and I said I was structured due to being a DBT therapist but I was also trained in psychodrama techniques so to follow where I led like, if the group were being really annoying and monosyllabic, I might turn to her and say in a drone, "Hey co-facilitator you want to have a conversation in group about drugs which means nothing because it contains nothing," and we would role play that for a few minutes,, like, until they got the hint and then we would turn at the same instant and swivel and like eh...stare them down like lasers. She seemed fine with it.

IDK I told the head SW I had 9 group members and 3 individual sessions the other day ;She looked like she was gonna vomit. I thought it was not bad for like. COVID and groups having to be small and NO actual caseload. I said nothing. I still have not gotten my former therapist's caseload due to IT.

Because, I have identified government management strategy. THEY ONLY want to hear good stuff. They don't want to hear bad stuff, or problems they do not want to fix.

This is the reason the government sucks. I sort of half-attended the SW group meeting and it was just all talking about more meetings and pats on the back.

My favorite scheduler is the most passive aggressive person I have EVER met. To be fair her mom named her "(UO{GIJ"EIOJGPOWR}OG" only harder to pronounce, any time you make a request she says, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU." Or, "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN."
Then you send again, and it sits.

Today I had enough, I shouted back, "NEVER MIND I GAVE IT TO YOUR SUPERVISOR TO COMPLETE." She was like "OKAY."

So she might just be dumb but she also started a scheduling "group" called "Mental Health Gurus" which has a sort of religious connotation to it and they are HARDLY freaking gurus. I may find a way to add her to my every request to her supervisor and then sort of dually type "NEVER MIND YOU ARE SLOW AS A WET WEEK" but you know. don't know how far I want to go in writing either. She is rude, she doesn't acknowledge you when you say hello, she ASKED me my clinic groups and I was like, "Um... is your job title scheduler? Don't you think you should-----sigh. Clinic 1, clinic 2. clinc 3/."

    She is dumb. Dumb like a fox alright. I will figure her out ONE DAY.;

An easy mixing day for me. I made another 250ml of vc2. Everything except filler was either 4 or 5 ml, so I used a single one of my 15ml graduated beakers.

6 flavors, some nic, filler pg/vg, and a,ll set.

(Given everything was either 4 or 5 ml I didn't bother with a syringe; +/- a couple 10ths ml is noise.)

@barkfunklerbunk I'm sorry about your nana, @Skeebo and @rosesense I hope you get over the accidental exposures and since one was the men's room I will say droplet in AEROSOL form not other droplet forms.

Honestly no mask will protect you 100% and the best tests aren't the greatest. I will bring you virtual chicken soup and say in about 48-72 hours, you will know because you will think, "Is this dying, I think it may be." DO NOT be a HERO. I went to the ER too late I just kept being told by EVERYONE to stay home.

But I have plenty of preexisting conditions and I got through it. It sucked, but this is what the majority do. If you don't get better quickly like you may be in for the marathon version. not a sprint but I NEVER SHOULD have waited 10 weeks to go to the ER. I mean it was reassuring in that they tested me for EVERYTHING and said, "you are getting better" but I could have done with a bit more like symptom control. Identify someone who can help (even if insurance paid nurse) with shopping, ,foods, taking care of you, you will need it.; But it is probably gonna be A-OK the odds are in your favor on this one.
