Off topic, but thought I'd post about a "will wonders never cease" thing.

I mailed 2 Large Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes to an ECF member in Wyoming...Saturday afternoon. The receipt showed Expected Delivery Day was tomorrow. So we were both thinking she might be lucky to get them Friday or Saturday. But...they're both actually "out for delivery" TODAY, as of 7:10AM!!
    Amazing

I was just going through little piles of paper (recipes). I came across an envelope of previously mixed recipes, most mixed in 2018. There are what looks like quite a few good recipes I’ll have to mix again. Not sure if they are in Zazie’s blog but I’ll have to check.

That's awesome. It's always a nice surprise when packages get delivered early.

USPS has been doing pretty good here too. DHL always delivers early. They are getting review stuff here in 3-4 days from China.

I just turned 50 a couple months ago. I'll probably have it done next year. I'm a little surprised that my wife's doctor hasn't suggested it to her since she's 53.

    Just do it now.

    That recommendation is not accurate.

    Start early.

My practitioner didn't even mentioned one, even though I'm 57 and my dad died this year of colon cancer. She just went with the stool occult blood test. If she doesn't bring it up next year, when I'm due for one, I'm going to have to ask.
I'm sorry you lost your Dad earlier this year.

I've been following what's going on with your eyes. Hope they get that squared away for you real soon. In 1998 I had a detached retina in my right eye. They rushed me into surgery. Long story short, and two surgeries later, I lost 75% of the vision in my right eye. It took me some time to get used to that.

    Eye stuff just sucks.

Yikes, that's too bad. Luckily I have never had eye problems. I mean, I'm blind as a bat without contacts or glasses. But no other issues. I do have a family member getting ready to have cataract surgery in the near future.

Ok - Delema I've got to send a package off to a town just 11 to 15 miles away from where I live. . . Do I send via USPS/FedX/UPS - Hope it gets there in 2 days ? . . . Or get agravated driving past the Airport/Road Construction, possibly get stuck in traffic again and drive there to drop it off. . . .

The stuff to drink isn't bad at all.
I'm one of those redheads that will toss cookies over a smell or a taste - and I taste nothing but the gatorade. (shew !!)
    9am 32oz of orange gatorade with 4oz Miralax powder...and 4 dulcolax tablets.
6pm this evening a repeat of the gatorade mix.
The riot is that I have to do the gatorade mix again at 3am !!! Whaaaaat !!!!

Sipping on a cup of chicken bouillon cube with a pinch of garlic powder.
DH went to the store to get the lemon and the orange jello he forgot.

Tell me I can't eat and I become ravenous

That is a tough call. I guess for me it would depend how time sensitive the package is. If I really needs to get to its destination in 2 days, best bet is to probably just drop it off. Sending it Fedex or UPS during the holidays is kind of a crapshoot.

Actually, I didn't, started earlier then suggested and then finished "cleasing" earlier . . . .I drank everything by 8 PM, everything gone - was only passing liquid before I went to bed at 12 mid. Sleep through the night - no accidents. . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I’ll be sending out a package Saturday to my friend in SC. It’s 2 baggies of flavors I’m piffing plus a Christmas prezzy. I won’t be thrilled if it doesn’t get there before Christmas but it’s not really a must.

Very true - however it was more a rhetorical question - to show how humorous the conflict is . . .

If I were you...I wouldn't rely on those stool occult blood tests, especially with colon cancer in your family. 2 of my friends had those tests come back as "nothing suspicious". Each one found out 5-8 months later, after experiencing "intestinal problems" for a couple weeks, and having colonoscopies, that those tests weren't reliable at all. Thankfully for both of them...surgery was done and so far they're both doing well.

I'm not relying on them. I had a normal colonoscopy 4 years ago and will insist on another colonoscopy next year.

I also have a cataract in my right eye but they will not remove it because that eye is at high risk for another retinal detachment. That eye just sees cloudy now. Retinal detachment is a known risk for any cataract surgery. Last year my doctor did a YAG laser procedure to punch 3 holes through the cataract. That was to help prevent dry eye and with tearing (lubrication).
