Hilo folks. Still around. I am laptopless due to Buster chewing up my power cord. My fat fingers don't do well on a phone... I can't like posts without giving most the dreaded red x by accident.
Glad to see you :) Hoping a new power cord is on it’s way to you.

    Sad to hear about Anna.
I had my first colonoscopy a few years back. They also did a upper GI endoscopy. My Gastro doc found a growth tumor behind my throat. I don't know if its cancerous or not. I went to a specialist and it did shrink on its own. I decided not to have it removed since I was going through the AIH diagnosis/treatment.

I can taste sugar free jelly now.

Hoping that tumor causes no problems.

This means your taste is coming back? Are you feeling betting?

Eventually, I'll have the tumor/growth looked at again. Taste is slowly returning I think. I still cannot smell anything. I'm going to be okay. It's taking longer than expected but at the same time I honestly knew if I would get covid it will take some time on healing. I'm just happy to be alive and not one of the 300,000 who lost their lives.

I think I have figured out why I have such a difficult time with finding a cheesecake recipe that I like. I think it is the graham flavoring. I just don't think graham flavoring and my taste buds are a good match. I think I would enjoy more of a crustless cheesecake recipe, if there is such a thing.

Not all but most recipes for cheesecake base add graham because there is little to no graham in the cheesecake flavors. So just leave out the added graham.

Ok, so flavors like Cap NY Cheesecake don't really have graham in them? I've never tasted one solo so I wasn't sure.

Little to none. Same with TFA cheesecake/Graham. Guess I should say too little.

if you still want a crust type flavor you could replace the graham with a cookie instead or even pie crust maybe
That's a good idea. I think for now though I want to focus on the cheesecake filling taste. Then when I get that down, adding some cookie or something similar could help finish it off.

I thought Cheesecake (graham crust) was pretty much just graham flavor. Is that the one you are referring to, or am I misunderstanding?
It’s just what TFA calls their cheesecake flavor

How about other cheesecake flavors? I am considering grabbing the Yes We Cheesecake from INW. I also noticed that WF has a strawberry cheesecake.
IMO Yes,we cheesecake is no different, not enough graham. Never tried the flavored one.

I have the inw yes we cheesecake and like it just fine. Right now I'm vaping lime/cheesecake, when I want to add crust I use biscuit.

    Good morning D-I-Y-er Folks !!! :)

It was super cold out earlier, as in single digits. Oh well, before I know it spring and summer will be here. Might as well enjoy it all.

Going to clean and rebuild a few RBA's... once I'm more awake. Also make some juice. And it's nail trimming day for Dog and Cat. Dog is a major baby for getting them trimmed while Cat is super chill and relaxed.

I hope your day is awesome! :D
It feels like you just did your beasts' nails. How time flies.

Alternatively, you could try a little INW Biscuit instead of the graham. Or maybe FA Apple Pie for that crust element. IMO, FA AP is pretty neutral and I'm thinking the other Cheesecake flavors would cover up all but the AP crust part. Just a thought. :)
