Politics aside, I think we can all agree that sieging the capitol and the violence that ensued was and is definitely not the proper way to make changes in the country. Despite how things are, no matter what aisle you're on, doing things the legal way (i.e. voting) is the only avenue for change. Don't like your governor, senator, representative? Well, don't make some idiotic plan to kidnap and execute them, vote them out! Ugh..
    Exactly

Does anyone else think that it's funny that after talking about the whole white supremacist riot in DC, the thread is now talking about a recipe named "Crackers"?

Someone posted this video in one of the groups I am in. He has been trained well. I really like the part at the very end, when he puts the dog at a full sprint and tells it to stop.

I love the dog sliding near the end. That's all part of Schutzhund training. There is schutzhund I, II and III (SchH1–SchH3 also called IPO1–IPO3). Tracking, obedience and protection.

I just googled "schutzhund training" for your state and there are several places. None of our dogs ever started schutzhund training until they were fully grown (2-3). Starting them too young before they are fully developed will only end up in physical problems for a dog. The dog in my avi, Hogan (my superstar), was SchH3.

There are many other types of training classes for young pups to 2 years. Obedience training and socialization are a must for every dog IMO. Obviously there are some things from schutzhund you can do with a pup around the basics. Sit, lay, stay, stand, recall. Teaching heal on-leash. Training off-lead and at distance. You could teach Buster hand signals for each of those commands.

I am really interested in that, thanks for the information. Our biggest mistake with Kai was how we did not socialize him. It really can be a liability of sorts. I mean you want them to protect of course, but... it can be overwhelming when they take on that role when it's not warranted. Under the circumstances (Covid) we've done our best to get Buster around people. Even right now at 21 weeks and 62lbs, he has shown a tendency to warn those he does not want around us. I don't want him being the same way Kai was.

Thank you. I'm no good at baking. But I know I can ask you, NolaMel and probably Fran when I need baking help. Chanel too. I'm sure there are more here I can ask! :)
Just don't ask those guys who were coming up with that butter pecan pudding pie recipe.

My sister refused to believe me at first when I told her a few years ago that the currants used in baking are not dried currants but dried grapes.

Alright, now I am even more confused. Just looked up black currants. One place said "Raisins, sultanas and currants are all types of dried grapes." Raisins! :D

I have FA Black Currant. Don't recall when I last used it though. Now I need to use it for my Corinthian Yogurt recipe (to be created).
Except Corinth has nothing to do with that kind of currant.

I think everyone in D.C. needs a good headbutt or two. Knock some sense into all of 'em to start working together. Ya know, like we were taught as kids, to play nice together on the playground.

I don't think everyone is gonna fit in my car though. o_O We're going to need one or two of those cool musician tour buses and a trailer for the critters.
Mine seats 7... skip luggage and the pups can ride in the boot, unless they call shotgun first
