For some reason, there have been cat fights outside in the early AM and she hears that and goes nuts and wants to go outside. When she gets loud it wakes up either me or the wife. I can usually sleep through anything but lately I've been hearing her more.
Weird to have so many cat fights. New cat to the neighborhood?

I have no idea. The other morning they were really loud though. We feed a feral cat that we caught a few years ago but she wasn't one of the ones in the fight. When I opened the door to let the dog out, the cat came out of the pet carrier that we turned into a house for her. The cat and our dog get along fine and the cat will come near us but won't let us touch her. We took her to get fixed when we caught her and were going to take her to a shelter but the vet said she was too feral and they would just put her to sleep so we brought her home and let her loose. She basically lives on our deck for the most part. It's not a big deal. We buy cheap cat food and feed her each day. We always feed her on our patio table and as soon as she sees us then she will jump up and will sometimes swipe at a hand or sniff a hand but if you try to pet her then she backs away.

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?
Just work stuff. I'm also going to make myself a bottle of unflavored to vape. I can't taste anything, so I figured why vape the good stuff when I can't taste it.

It's funny you guys are talking about cats. A couple nights ago, I heard this noise outside my bedroom window. It was a very loud cat noise (screech, yell, or whatever it's called). It was very random, and it scared the hell out of me.

Well that sucks that you can’t taste. Hope it comes back.
I agree that a cat screech out of nowhere could be a bit unsettling.

At first I couldn't quite figure out what the noise was. I haven't spent a lot of time around cats and was not familiar with their noises. But then I saw the cat outside the window.

As someone who also feeds ferals, and traps and spay/neuters feral, I love this

I ordered a bunch of things I have been wanting and just procrastinating about. I ordered some of the Flavor Creative Custard. I had some before, seems there was a period you could buy it in the states and I bought a couple bottles. It was a few years ago and I did it threw our friend NotSoMini. I still have some but it is old. I like it and do not like CAP Vanilla Custard. I also got some Calipitter Chow - Mom & Pops. Then I hopped over to DIYFS and got some Holy Holy Grail RY4 as per the talk I have heard in here and feel I NEED it. Lastly a gallon of VG.
    Someone please tell me:
Are we in danger of ordering Nicotine soon. Like in my mind I have it memorized to do it by March 1st. But then I also thought I heard we were going to dodge that bullet.
Sigh. It sucks losing your memory.

    Morning all.

Well, that was easy :) (Covid shot)

We've been with the same HMO for 30 + years, and did they have it together!

Due to a swamped web site (for appointments) it wasn't possible to get concurrent or even consecutive slots, although I had managed to get us slots only two apart. Went to check in and asked if the nurse could take us both at the same time. Yup!

Sauntered back toward the injection area, 6' apart from others (us together), maybe 5 minutes before we went in. Then sit and wait for 15 minutes or so to be sure no sudden adverse reactions. As expected (and hoped!) my penicillin allergy was no problem. (Well, no respiratory problems with that, so, yeah, didn't become an issue.)

Although my prior info was wrong, we got the Pfizer version, not the Moderna. (I'd guessed Moderna earlier since it's a satellite facility, figured the logistics of cold would make it the Moderna.) Second dose scheduled on the spot, three weeks out.

That was all done before noon. By mid afternoon we both felt a little flushed. Not feverish, just warm(ish). Injection site a little sore, but not even as much as, say, a tetanus shot. Pat felt a little tired. I did, as well, but in my case I think it was more the relief / come-down from worrying that my allergy might cause a problem.

She's still abed (only one of us is crazy enough to still be up at 6 even though retired  ) but I woke feeling fine. No residual issues. Other than relief :)

    Meanwhile,

    Yes.

USPS, UPS and FedEx are ALL going to stop shipping "tobacco" products soon. As in next month. Long before the PMTA finishes driving the nail. Need hardware or nic? Get it now.

The bottom of our deck used to be open and several years ago we had a problem with cats having kittens under our deck. I'll bet we caught 20-30 kittens at least and took them to the local shelter but never could catch the adult females. Then we got a live trap and caught the adults. The one we are feeding is the last one of the originals. I quickly closed in the bottom of the deck. I'm sure the kittens were easily adopted. We just couldn't bring ourselves to take the one we are feeding to the shelter just to be put to sleep. Now we call her stripe and she's our cat even though she won't let us touch or pet her. We've tried to coax her to come inside but she's having none of that. We did set up a pet carrier wrapped in plastic on the the outside to keep it dry and blankets on the inside to try to keep her warm.

I really don't know what's going to happen with nic shipments. Heartland had been shipping UPS but UPS is going to stop carrying vape stuff too. I might shoot them an email and see what they say.

I have several traps and keep any and all cats in my neighborhood spayed and neutered. Friends give my name occasionally and I go help in other neighborhoods. First thing I think about when I see a stray. Too many unwanted pets here. We do ear tipping here. The local spay-neuter clinic does it when they do the altering surgery. It is so cool that you care for the poor soul who is feral due to no fault of her own. During my trapping episodes, I also end up with kittens in my trap. I bring them home and socialize them. I have a local rescue that will take them from me, as long as I give a donation. I fell in love with one last summer and kept her. Cheddar. She is socialized but has some wild tendencies (digs in the trash) They can usually be socialized up until about 13-14 weeks. The earlier the better. Once they have gone a year or more it is next to impossible for them to be socialized. Very sad, because you want to improve their life but they will not let you.

My vaccination was easy too. I have a little pain at the injection site but it's minor compared to the four days of pain I had with the flu shot which I think was more of a function of the skill or lack thereof of the nurse. No other side effects whatsoever from my pfizer shot. I'm relieved as well. We are still trying to get Mom signed up...nothing yet. She is making some phone calls this morning. Dad gets his tomorrow evening. I'll be driving him there.

We have 3 feral cats that we feed, used to be 6, all are fixed. we can touch them, rub their heads etc., but they won't come in the house. They have been around for about 5 years now.

When Indiana passed a law stopping the import of juice into the State I wasn't finished stocking up on nic. I contacted my nic supplier which was WL at the time and they said they weren't affected by it. For some reason it always seemed like maybe nic is in some kind of unique situation as far as vape goes. I read something years ago from a nic supplier saying that they would need to pass a separate law if they wanted to ban nic. That was ban for sale rather than ban for shipping though. Guess we'll find out soon.

Let us know if you hear from Heartland.

That looks a lot like our cat that passed away a couple years ago. He lived to be almost 15. I kind of want another cat but the wife said no more after he passed. I think I might be able to change her mind with time. Maybe.

I had cats most of my life, the last one died a few years ago. Problem is that they can live for 20 years and I don't expect to be around that long. I don't want to leave animals behind. Now we have 2 dogs and they are both getting on, we won't be getting any more for the same reason.
