I'm not dismissing the fact that the US has an obesity problem. I was just trying to wrap my head around so many people gaining 30lbs or more in a year or less. That just seems like it would be hard to do in that short of time.

But I guess if someone is stuck at home and not moving around much, that would help speed up the weight gain.
You never watched "My 600-lb life"?
Oh, and I gained 10 lbs during my covid adventure. It was easy to gain because I went off my low carb/keto like way of eating for almost two months. I'm back on but I was upset.

We can cry together. Those 10 eggs my terrapin laid the other day are not viable. That's at least 6k down the drain. What's that saying? Don't count your terrapins before they hatch?
Sorry about that.
I don't want to get us banned, but I'm quite curious.
How did you find out they weren't viable?
And, how do those eggs get fertilized anyway?

I've never seen it. I've seen some commercials for it and it looks incredibly depressing.

And I can see how going from Keto to carbs would lead to quick weight gain. It's probably quite a shock to the system.

That is the meanest thing anyone has ever said to me. I'll give you a pass because of your turtle eggs, but it still really hurt.
LOL. If that's the meanest thing anyone has said to you, then you've had an easy life. Good for you. LOL.

Yes, it is. I'm on a strict 20 or lower carb daily. I've been on this since 2017. I won't have another cheat day until May but unless I get my taste/smell back it means nothing.

Speaking of hot dogs. When I was a kid living in the South burbs of Chicago they had a hot dog joint called boz I always called it bozos. It was out in Hazel Crest Il.

I'm worried about those rubber/silicone plugs. They look like they may stretch or tear or whatever. And if/when they do, the pod is useless.
I know there is a moldable silicone product out there that could probably be used to make new plugs for pods.
@UncleJunkle has mentioned this in other threads.

There's no point in eating something like bread or cookies if you aren't able to enjoy it. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I've never done any sort of keto or low carb eating, but I don't really eat grains often. Not for any real health benefit, I'm just not a big bread or pasta guy.

I like a good Chicago dog. There are only so many regional hotdogs, and that's a good one.
In Toledo we have the world famous Tony Packo's Restaurant, with their Hungarian Packo Dog. It's a Hungarian Sausage style dog, with mustard, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onions, and chili sauce. But it HAS to be Cincinnati style chili sauce, no beans (good lord no), with lots of paprika flavor and a hint of cinnamon.
That's an Ohio thing. Like Skyline chili.
But Tony Packo's does it best. They make and sell their own sauce, amongst other products. Try Packo's Pickles and Peppers, or their Brittany Tomatoes.
