I have the WF Ice Cream so I wouldn't have to sub that. But I bet if you like the SSA's or LB, you could probably just use that instead.

Yeah, they have been out of stock almost as long as the SSA was. I just ended up buying all the ice creams all at once from Chefs.
That’s basically why I ordered from chefs. I also got the flavors I wanted from my BCF wishlist. I just didn’t want to play the waiting game on another flavor.

I have three licorice/anise flavors (FW Black Licorice, FA Anise, TFA Absinthe). I made one odd mix with grapefruit, absinthe, and mint that was promising if unbalanced (the grapefruit was too strong) and am also intending to add anise to three blueberry muffin mixes I'm experimenting with. I perceive a distinct anise note in real blueberries, and I've been adding five-spice powder--which is anise heavy--to the blueberries I regularly eat with yogurt, so I'm optimistic that it will work well.
I didn't even know anise was a licorice flavoring. I've seen some recipes posted with it, but had no idea what the flavor actually was.
