We went out last night for dinner (private room, everyone is vaccinated) at an actual restaurant. It was glorious fun, but we didn’t get home till 10:30. I’m officially old as dirt, because I’m tired as all get out today.

In addition to getting the April accounts done, I got my mint Kroma-R mod fixed, it has had a couple of falls to the ground, 510 started to get, well, a little loose:

Some day I have to get enough courage to disassemble one of the mixxes, I have heard rumors that a dna-60 fits, would like to see if the dimensions are correct, only one way to figure it out...

I've this damn room left for today work, I've promised the lady to vacuum the room.

Tomorrow I think I will mix one pair of Stixx, have kentucky virginian left, and maybe mix another virginian more against max recommendation.

What did you have to sub out of it? I was waiting for the pitaya to come before I mixed. It sounded like that was the only one there was no good sub for.

Wf Bavarian cream and vanilla custard. I used JF Bavarian and tfa vanilla custard 2.

just got back from getting my covid vaccine...feeling a little light headed but that could just be because
1) I was fighting off a panic attack since I woke up this morning...trying to talk myself down from psyching myself up....
2) just from the exertion of walking from the parking lot into the hospital to the room where they were doing the shots and then back out again back to my van with in 30 minutes or so...if I'm up and moving then I'm overheating, it's just the way it is
[edit] and I went on a rant/novel post...so we'll just edit that out,
now she said to wait 6 hours but *pft* forget that...I'm getting ahead of the game...as soon as I got home I took 500mg of tyenol and ibuprofen and then forcing myself to take a drink every 30ish minutes.

Fingers crossed for you. My dd has autoimmune issues and she didn't have any problem with either shot.

Basic custard recipe is:

• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 1 cup whole milk
• 4 egg yolks
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
• ¼ cup granulated sugar

Basic pudding recipe:

• 3 cups whole milk, divided
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• Pinch of salt
• ¾ cup sugar
• 3 egg yolks
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Eggs act as a thickener, and so does heavy cream in large part - so as we see pudding relies on less expensive, more readily available thickening agents which are the main difference between pudding and custard...

P.S., to make ice cream you have to make a custard base as well... it's all pretty much the same thing in the end...

Therefore, you don't have to buy flavoring that says "custard", you just have to purchase the flavorings that impart the same flavor as custard, something both pudding and ice cream does.

Yes,but if I start with a custard I won’t need to use so many flavors to make one.

The majority of flavorings lack something... the right mix usually shores up those holes..
