I do TFA PB when I do PB usually. My fav nut has always been hazelnut. I think I'll take a wild stab in the dark and pick a nut I don't usually use. I need to do an ice cream or Ice Cream Cone.
I added the TFA PB to my cart. And I do like the FW and FA hazelnut's. I still need to try WF SC Sugar Cone with the ice cream. Every review I've read says it's pretty accurate to an actual drumstick like cone.

I haven't done any mixing since before I went away so I do need to get un-lazy and get going. I've just been testing things mixed before I left. I do have a good list of things to mix, so chop-chop. :D

I also liked the nanaimo bars solo and have been trying to think of something to mix with it. I'll mix your recipe and throw it in the steep box. Thanks for sharing.
Good luck. I hope you like it.

Be careful with that one. It's still wicked strong at .75%
Good to know. Thanks. I have it but haven't used it yet. So if I didn't want wicked strong, would you suggest starting real low as in 0.25%, or 0.5%?

0.5 should be about perfect I think.

I got the Croissant Base mixed, really liked the idea of the Mascarpone. I also mixed 1000ml of nic base mix.
I hope you like it. Originally I made it with just the two croissants so I could get them where I wanted. The mascarpone cheese was used because that's what the Cuban folks who make guava pastries use in real life (per several foodie recipe sites). After the mascarpone cheese steeped I can totally see why they use it. It really brought the croissants to life with a really pleasing cheesy creaminess. Yum, I wanted to eat some. Lol

Kind of has me wondering what the croissants would be like with FLV Brie Cheese instead. Goes on the list to try. :)

I'm sure I will. I love the cheese. You will like the Brie also. Very similar but the Brie has a little edge. I love them both.

I am always thrilled & happy With a phone call & an I love you ...............life doesn't get better than that.

My father and my husband's father has both passed, same with my stepfather, but my husband's mother remarried a close freind of the family a couple years ago in their old age, and he's been awesome truly, both to us and to my mother-in-law....

We were wanting to get him something - but he has everything.. lol. (as one would expect from an 80 y/o man..)

but thats making getting him something more difficult.

I think we have it figured out though, finally. We are going to go to the Army surplus store and see about getting an ammo can. I will make a stencil and put on the side of the can "the whole armor of God".. (he's a good Baptist) and turn the inside into a gift box, with a new large print Bible and Voddie Baucham's new book Fault Lines, and any other smaller things we can think of to add in...

It's the best we can think of, and I think it's a pretty good idea.

Great idea but I would bet a personal note in there would be the most valued thing in it.

When or if I order from chefs again it's going to have to be with a coupon so I can pay for tracking. This latest order is driving me nuts.
