Random DIY mixing and More

It's been a good day - I had to go in to work this morning but, due to the rain, it was very quiet which I appreciated. Got home, threw in a load of laundry and started mixing: SFTs of Custard Extra 1 & 2, SMT's Pudding Base #2, more of Anna's Mango/Apricot/Peach and a few new ones to try.

Looking forward to this week - FranC's Ice Cream and SMT's Croissant Base are steeped (finally!!) I have clean atties waiting to try them.

I’m glad it was helpful! Interesting flavors you got…I’ll have to look into them as I have no clue what those are except the black licorice.

I’ve never cared much for black licorice in rl and have never had any inclination to vape it. I do like red licorice in rl but have no inclination to vape that either.

Good evening. Where did the weekend go? Seems like it shouldn’t be over yet. We did end up going to Lowe’s and really liked the grill I’m interested in. I just can’t really buy one right now. If I lick it then it’s mine right?

My sister called tonight. It’s been a long time since I’ve talked to her. It seems like her and my BiL are always having some kind of health issue. He was in a car accident several years ago and hasn’t been right since.

When my husband and I bought that car the salesmen and the owner of the dealership were walking us out and were chitchatting like car salesmen do when they are happy, so I got my vape out and started vaping, which of course started the you know that's bad for you conversation after he lit up a cigarette .

so I began addressing all of his concerns about my vape as he recited each thing he'd ever read that was bad about vaping and finally, no argument left he said well you don't even know what's in that juice, and pointed to my mod again...

To which I replied I know exactly what's in my juice, I make it!

His jaw hit the ground I swear... lol.

People do they believe what they read... I think that tendency is accentuated because we have fewer face to face interactions than ever before, it's almost all online.

The saying should be "don't believe everything you read" these days.

I've had the same conversation, so I get it.
But, speaking as neither a Repub nor a conservative, I've never in my longish life ever seen a media so completely and unashamedly biased against certain things, vaping being one of them. But not the only one.

I don't like Twizzlers, but, even if I did, I would not consider it (them?) to be licorice, which gets its flavor from Glycyrrhiza glabra or from anise seed, star anise, fennel, or the like.

Well licorice or not, Twizzlers are my favorite movie theatre snack.

Twizzlers suck! Real black Red Vines for me! Funny, I absolutely love black and red licorice but I tried black licorice in a vape once and it was way too strong. It was a store bought mix.

I was thinking that they would each stand alone. Haven't thought of using them as ingredients. I love those horehound candies. Maybe add a sweetener, or maybe honey. Now you've got me thinking....

Red licorice does not deserve to be called licorice.

You definitely wouldn't like the variety of flavors they sell then at Rural King. I bought some Cinnamon (like red hots) the last time I was there...and loved it. That bag was gone in way less time than when I've gotten the Black licorice. They also sell Cherry, Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, and many others, too!

I've recently been eating the Wiley Wallaby gourmet licorice sold at Dollar Tree, too. It's soft & chewy...just like the bag says it is. I really like the Strawberry. I have a bag of their Classic Black open now, and while it IS definitely classic black licorice...it isn't my favorite of the 2 so far.
