Funny thing is, the o-ring survived intact, but the battery wrap got damaged. Go figure.

Forgigglesscience, I just took the o-ring off of mine. Solo still works perfectly fine. Battery cap screws on easier without the o-ring.
Yeah. I have one in rotation without the o-ring but wasn't sure if it was OK to take it out. Not sure what its function is. If it's only waterproofing, I don't need it.
My process with a new tank is this. Remove from box and study. Take apart and study again. Coil,wick,and try out. If this doesn’t work as planned I look at instructions which really aren’t helpful as a rule. If instructions are helpful I start from beginning. This usually is the end of it. If a problem persists I come here.

I got basically away from building for awhile but now my Dvarws are making me.Yup. Several.
I love my Z and Sceptre coils so much that I don't rebuild anymore.
What color did you order? If you hate it, I’ll buy it from you. After all I did enable you just a little.
I’ll definitely buy it if you don’t like it. The blue is really sharp. I’m thinking about adding a silver and gunmetal to my collection of one but haven’t decided yet.
