I haven’t even thought of Nanaimo bars for quite awhile. I may put it in a recipe, thought about it for a minute, not sure ATM.
IRL it's simply a layered bar cookie. In recipes people use graham crackers, various nuts, custards, buttercreams/creams, different chocolates, coconut, peanut butter, mocha, wafers.

I haven't made anything recently with nanaimo either. There are some real life Nanaimo Cheesecake recipes I've seen. Same with nanaimo cakes, different cookies, pies and ice cream bars.

I have tried 2% nanaimo in the ice cream base, it was good.

I have a very vague memory of (HIC) saying the he diluted his, to make it easier to use. :|

KAS
Yes. From his notes...

I suggest making a small bottle of 10% FA Honey to use as your flavoring bottle. Using 1% from that bottle gives you 0.1% flavoring - which is a light 'spoonful' of honey flavor in a recipe.

Not going to happen. Love my dairy and my nightshades--every single one of them. How can you live without tomatoes??? And why would you want to?
Agree. ;) I never did any of those fad like diets. Saw those as money makers for whoever created them. Completely understand some folks, for medical reasons, require specific diets. Always eat what I want to eat. Can't imagine no tomatoes or dairy.

I’m trying to stick to lighter mixes right now BUT I’ve never thought of putting the Nanaimo bar in my ice cream. I may just do that. Ty, for the idea

    Eat less, exercise more
Those four words would be the entire contents of my book. I know you've seen American's at restaurants in Europe when the dinner plates arrive. Their funny and confused looks of "where's the rest of the food". ;)

Morning Fran. Just work for me. Also I need to dump some mixes and wash out the bottles.

    You?

Well, I also have a couple bottles to clean. Mostly I just need to finish recipes so I can mix.

But don't you want to grow up to be Tom Brady?
No!!! I like being the one and only SMT (who irritates you with flavors you don't have). No desire to be like Tom Brady or have anything he has. TB12 is a great QB though, will go down as the goat. :thumb:

My pudding mix is not a light mix and I’m hoping SMT’s will be lighter. If not I’ll have to write up a lighter pudding base.
I am very interested in your thoughts on my pudding #2. Hope you like it.

Hello everyone… No one told me just how dark it is inside the Sin Bin.. I saw unimaginable things I’ll never be able to unsee; the hula hoop contest was very strange because no one wears clothes in the Sin Bin. I still can’t believe Anna took 2nd place to Stevie Nicks. Yes, she was there!

Guess what else? I got Brad Pitt’s autograph! He was in there and told me there is going to be a Fury II. I thought he died in the first one! Since he was naked I can see why Angelina left him.

Seriously though, I want to apologize to everyone.. Especially to @classwife and @FranC . I know in the grand scheme of things, life and all, it’s not that big of a deal. However, the appreciation I have for both of you is not really expressed when I act in such a manner.

To all my fellow Mrs. and Sir Mixalots… I came bearing a gift. My Coconut Cheese Shake (a play off cheesecake) turned out really good. If you don’t like coconut, keep reading…

    Cheesecake (Graham Crust) TFA 3%
    Super Sweet CAP .5%
    Toasted Coconut Cheesecake PUR 3%
    Vanilla Ice Cream LB 4%
    Yes, We Cheesecake INW 2%

If you like coconut, TCC PUR is a must have.. By far the best coconut on the market in my opinion. The true star of the above mix though is the combo of Cheesecake Graham Crust, Vanilla Ice Cream LB, and Yes, We Cheesecake. This recipe was inspired by one I saw in a contest in another group. In it they used Strawberry Cheesecake instead of my Coconut… I think if you use any flavored Cheesecake as a substitute it will be good.. (Lemon Cheesecake SSA, Strawberry Cheesecake, etc).

It is a very long steeper though, 4 to 6 weeks.

It’s good to be back. Today is a good day.
