Butch, I think the barbed wire fence blew down. Your wind hit my area last night. It's cold and windy here now. 30 degrees with a high of 34.

Has anyone here ever broken a zlide tank? My airflow ring thing fell off.

I haven’t. I have a few of them but haven’t used any in a while.

Most are held in place just by an o ring. Some fit better one way or the other. Try flipping it over.

Yup, that's weird. I have one that's rather beaten up and the air flow ring comes off whenever I take it apart to clean it. It pops right back on with no gap. As usual, you're special!

I have family there. Each time I've gone to visit I wanted to stay. BTW, the only active volcano is on Big Island. Usually only a problem for those who live nearby.

When I put it back on, there is now a noticeable gap between the AF ring and the rest of the tank.

FF to 4:55, Phil B covers troubleshooting the airflow ring there.

From what he goes over the problem you are experiencing sounds like it's perhaps one of two things.

1) The AF ring was not connected properly. Per his video there is a proper way to install the AF ring. See the video, it's covered there. I would try this first.

2) There are 2 o-rings for the AF ring attached to the base. Either yours are missing or one or both are damaged. I doubt your missing them, but IDK. If needed, there are replacements in the spares.
