    Somewhere between here and there
    I have question about Sourcemore.

My wife just decided she likes Solos so I had to replace all her Picos with Solos. Trouble is I like Solos too and I don't have many of them. Looked around on the internet and Soucemore is the only place that sells them without the tanks that I don't want. They go for $35, the next cheapest is MVS which is $44 with the tank. Sourcemore ships from a warehouse in Hong Kong.

I want to get 3 or 4 Solos. Should I bite the bullet and pay a little more for speed and security of delivery, or order from Source more and take the chance on waiting for months and maybe never get them.

I haven't been paying attention because I wasn't expecting to ever buy more gear. Think I heard there was a problem coming up with Hong Kong. Any thoughts?

If you go with sourcemore then I would pick the cheapest shipping option which isn't really cheap any more. If MVS has free shipping then you might be ahead ordering from them and not have to wait 2-4 weeks. My last couple orders from Sourcemore got here in about two weeks but I placed one three weeks ago right before the holiday and still haven't gotten it yet.

    Texas

I did some playing around with numbers for you. 4 solos shipped to Texas $178 +signature fee from MVS. 4 solos shipped to Texas from SM $153. You are saving between $30-$45 at SM, but you give up prompt shipment and choice of colors. MVS didn't add on sales tax, which is unusual. Texas usually has 8.25% sales tax.

I took my wife's car in for new tires two days ago and finally got it back today. I totally understand though because they are understaffed and having trouble finding workers.

What I don't understand is the guy calls me and said my brakes and rotors needed changing. So, I played along. I asked for a quote and he said $839. I verified this was for the 2017 Nissan Rogue. I asked what was wrong with the pads and rotors that were on it and his reply was, "You have 1mm of pad on the front, and none on the rear, and the rotors are grooved heavily".

    My blood started to boil.

I just changed the pads and had the rotors resurfaced at O'riellys last week for less than $200. The car hadn't left my driveway since.

I told him to let me call him back because I had to discuss this with my wife first. I jumped in my truck and headed up there. I wanted to make sure once I started raising hell that they didn't screw her car up.. Plus I take great satisfaction in seeing a man's face when I call him on his BS.

I showed him my brakes and rotors, all personal and close.

I hope Dylan learned a lesson today.

Good for you. Maybe they’ll think twice next time.

I am still scratching my head about it. They should have at the very least been able to see the pads and realized they couldn't say they were bad.

I think what gets under my skin most is how much I allow this kind of stuff to affect me. I was pretty upset.

You should have been upset. I would have been too. You just had it fixed, the car hadn’t been driven and they tell you it needs to be fixed again. Yup, I’d be majorly upset.

I hope hittman ended up with some busy work.

57 here and I have a very much opened window.

Not really. More goofing off than anything. My new chair arrived today so I had to put that together and of course try it out for a while.

I don't blame you at all. It's hard to find a garage that you can trust. We have two that we use for our work vehicles. Over the years I have gotten to know the owner and tend to trust him with our repairs. I would have been steaming mad if I were you also.

I have never heard of a carrot cake IRL that didn't include spices, so I can't imagine that VTA's version doesn't have any at all.

I do have that flavor and was able to vape it solo. It didn't wow me as much as it did @ceeceeisme, but then I don't like anything all that much.

Yeah, we all taste things differently. I have not vaped that flavor in a LONG TIME. I got burned out on it.
