Saturday salutations, soulful stirrers :)

We're in the calm before the storm, but presumably only rain here, snow higher up. No big winds expected, at least.

Fresh03's Strawberry Milkshake 5* with 63 reviews( this is vapeable, but no strong flavours, might be due to high % of flavours)
Everyone's taste buds are different, and you'll come to realize what works for you. In that recipe I know that amount of Strawberry would overwhelm my taste buds using similar watts as you. That one recipe with Dragonfruit I wouldn't even mix as 1% is already too much for me. Others like the Kiwi and cupcake, off the top of my head are in my ballpark. Many benefit from a steep, fruits are usually good after a few days, that cupcake is about 2 weeks
I just assumed if the vendor put their name on the PDF, that the receipes should be good. I have made a good 10 recipes from this pdf to no avail.
Many find that using sweeteners are necessary when first moving to DIY but over time you'll come to know the flavors with inherent sweetness.

While looking at @ShowMeTwice excellent recipe building example, you could start with just the strawberry and banana, give it a week and add the cream to see how it changes/adds to the flavor, etc. Bit of a shortcut to a true SFT but that can also help figure out what works for you.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got notice that my free Covid tests are supposed to be delivered today. I’ve been working really hard at procrastinating this morning but have to get a review posted after this vape break. After that I’m going to try remixing the recipes Fran is helping me with.

@CapeTownCloudChaser, here are a few of the resources I use for DIY. Perhaps you will find them useful.

The Flavor Bible. I have the softcover book and the ebook. It is the most comprehensive guide that I know of regarding flavor pairings. For example it will tell you all the flavors that are known to work with Strawberry. TFB is extensive in scope. Nearly every time I create a recipe the Flavor Bible sees use. There is likely an online copy to be found on the interwebz.

How to Pair Flavors: A Comprehensive Flavor Pairing Guide A decent web page that has sound pairing information.

FONA International has some excellent information that can be applied to DIY. They are one of the largest flavor companies on the planet. Their Insights section has many useful tidbits. Each insight can be downloaded as a PDF file. Insights

The Bakers Almanac has an excellent fruit flavor pairing page. The Ultimate Fruit Flavor Pairing Chart

From the Tasting Table: How to Pair Flavors Together

From FBN: Mastering the art of flavor matchmaking

Personally, I view creating good DIY mixes as no different than creating decent dishes in real life. Obviously there are differences between real life pairings versus DIY. It's not always a 1:1. However the science is exactly the same. Some companies in the food and beverage industries are using the same flavors as we are in DIY.

    @classwife, hey hi! :)

Is there any news on the broken links to everyone's Blog pages?

Otherwise known as the banned "B's".

They are still checking...it may not be "compatible" with the changes...
I did discover that if you click on the postbit (avatar box) to get that info box to pop up - that the B is there.
(rather than going all the way to the person's profile)
