There was almost an accident on the way home tonight. A black Chevy SUV came up this on-ramp way to fast and there was a PT Cruiser with a flat tire in that lane trying to pull over. The SUV had to really jam on the brakes. People come around that curve way too fast to merge on the highway. A lot of times you can see the vehicle kind of rocking as it straightens out to merge.
Yup. Dummies.
People are in such a hurry all the time. Hurry here, hurry there. They fly by ya to hurry up and brake hard at the next stop light and the ones after that.
In the city, here anyways, the lights are nicely timed. If ya go the speed limit ya make all the lights without fail.
Okay - Not going to rant, even given the day I've had, only going to say if I could - I would annihilate a few young people I had to interact with today . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Just finished dinner, later than normal, no biggie, not on a schedule anyways. Listening to tunes. Maybe watch something on TV, or not.

I saw a hilarious one a few weeks ago. It was complicated interstate junction and you had to turn left to merge into the fast lane of a one-sided section of the interstate. There was a cop waiting for a gap and a woman on the phone behind him, then me. The cop started to pull out then changed his mind. The woman behind him saw him start to go and followed but she was looking right to make sure there was still enough gap and she ran right into the back of the cop. Luckily at slow speed. Bad day for her I'm sure.
Today I got rid of an old car. It was a Civic that had been standing for 3 years and had a major leak somewhere in the brake system. Several other minor problems which is why I stopped driving it. Damp inside and chipmunks had nested in the engine compartment so it smelled pretty bad. Engine is good and I had the brakes and suspension rebuilt just before I stopped driving it. Daughter's boyfriend took it for a young niece who is having hard times, he will fix it up for her. I gave it to him in exchange for him helping me with some work on my S10, he's a mechanic. Glad it's going somewhere it will be appreciated, it was good car for a long time.
