When my Kumo is done with it’s bottle of juice I may turn it back into a dripper. I have a Recurve V2 and another Kumo but I don’t want another PV out.
I was down to 6... and then like wham bam thank you Ma'am... back at 10.

I am told when doing recipes you should stick to the brand of the flavoring as each company has a different profile for what that flavor should be. I can completely understand this but I see in some recipes "sweetener" for different brand and wonder if it would really be so different? Or can you substitute with sweetners

I used WF Wild Berry Cobbler 3% and INW Shisha Strawberry 1.2%. Can’t taste it.
Wow. o_O Cookie vanilla is strong if it drowns those out. I bet 0.75% would be ok with those and still give you the cookie flavor.

    I never use sweetener.

Yeah, a free A class freighter right away is kind of nice.

I started a new game last month and there's a lot of new stuff going on now. Enough to keep me busy for months figuring it all out. Lots of combat which is something I was never really into. Then there's all the pirate stuff and a new type of ship and new weapons. A lot of parts that were easy before became really hard. I used to blast through Sentinels like they were nothing, this time round I've died every time I got mixed up with them.

Whatever, I gave up playing earlier this year, now it's fun again.

You picked a good time to get back in. Enjoy.

I still have no idea what changes have happened, just trying to get established right now. I like to look up YT videos so maybe I will do that and see what's up.

That’s just what I was thinking. I have two cookie recipes I wrote the other day and I’ll try it in one.

I respect that, however this recipe I am looking at specifically calls for it. As I am new I thought I should stick to the recipe until I am more comfortable modifying it no?
That’s a choice you’ll have to make yourself. Do you like sweet mixes?

Kind of jealous of tank users. When I started vaping I tried a few tanks but the issue for me was coils were $4 each and contrary to what stores would tell me(should last a week) it would last about a day and a half. Been using RDA ever since. I think I saw a tank Avocado88 IIRC that was a RDA built on a tank.. but am happy dripping to save some $$

Well, there are lots of tanks that one builds, no blister pack coils needed :)

And yes, some flavors are gunkers, which greatly reduce the coil life, drop in or home made. One of the reasons I build, since the wire and wick might pro-rate out to, oh, maybe 2 cents per tank.

Don't use a lot of sweeteners (generally add to the gunk! and if I want a sweet vape I can usually get there with just the right flavors), but ime they're all pretty much the same and you can substitute at will.

Other flavors, Yeah, the manufacturer is important if trying to exactly replicate a recipe. But even then, subs can work, although it won't be exactly the same, might still be tasty.

No, not exactly correct. I make a lot of recipes from all over and always omit the sweetener. Sweetener is common in commercial juice and some like really sweet vapes. I do not, at all, and sweetener is probably responsible for making your coils burn out fast.

The sweeteners are different. I have these...

    CAP Super Sweet
    TFA/TPA Sweetener
    Purilum Super Sweet

As a rule... I don't use sweeteners in my mixes.

IMO, the vast majority of mixes do not need them. Why? Because any mix can be made as sweet as one desires using flavors alone.

And, that's where knowing your flavors comes in handy. I would recommend doing SFT's in order to learn your flavors. Honestly, there is no other way to learn what each flavor offers.

Sweeteners do have a place in DIY. On the rare occasion I use one I'll only add 1-2 drops to 30mls. You may think "that's not much"... true... but frankly not much is needed in order to influence a mix.

Using too much of any sweetener in a mix will mute flavors and turn a mix into total garbage.

I would mix it without the sweetener first. You can easily add some, if needed, after testing the mix.

Can you post the recipe please?

    SFT = Single Flavor Test.

For example: using 5ml nic base...

FLV Cream on it's own between 0.5% - 1%. Because it's a cream it will need to steep for 7-10 days. Then vape it and make your notes.

    another example...

FA Strawberry (Red Touch) on it's own between 2% - 3%. It's a fruit that I know from experience can be vaped straight away. It won't change much at all with steeping.

SFT's are the only way to get to know any flavor. I always start at a low percentage.

meh I have no idea how to get links to post properly
ECF won't let us link to ELR. Reason being, the person at ELR did some very bad things here on ECF with one member (HIC). The moderators then made the decision to block ELR.

@dennism brought that recipe up on April 4th.

FW Butter Pecan is the only flavor I ever rated HOSTILE. And that was with me testing it at 1%. It's harsh, very harsh, a throat killer. I threw Butter Pecan in the trash.

If I were making that recipe the percents would easily get cut in half (probably way more).

FW Bavarian Cream and FW Sweet Cream are sweeter flavors. FW Hazelnut at 7% is way too high.

The reason she is using sweetener is to clamp down on the harshness of Butter Pecan 4%. That 4% would rip my throat up.

She has a version 2 Bust-A-Nut that looks much smoother.

The creams and marshmallow are bringing the sweetness to the mix. No additional sweetener would be needed. I would also cut the percents nearly in half on the v2 recipe. In fact I would rewrite the recipe knocking the creams down and lowering the nuts.
