And her steep times for Bust-A-Nut v1 and v2 aren't right. Just from looking at the flavors she used, both of those mixes would greatly benefit from a 4 week steep.

One could vape them at 3 days (v1) and 7 days (v2) ...BUT... I will guarantee you they will change drastically over 4 weeks. Creams need that kind of time.

That's why. When I tried it at 2% it overtook nearly everything else in my mix. Now I use it between 0.5% - 1%. Depending on the other flavors 1% can be too much.

Cookie vanilla is one of Flavour Art's more highly concentrated flavors.

I usually like strong flavors. I’m using it at 2.5% with 1% cinnamon crunch

I am told when doing recipes you should stick to the brand of the flavoring as each company has a different profile for what that flavor should be. I can completely understand this but I see in some recipes "sweetener" for different brand and wonder if it would really be so different? Or can you substitute with sweetners

I’ve used tfa sweetener, cap super sweet, and Ricks Sugar daddy and haven’t noticed a lot of difference.

I might try it with orange. What orange flavors do you recommend? I’ve got a lot.
I like to use FA Blood Orange and FA Royal Orange together. If you want it to be more tangy go higher on blood orange. If you want more citrus add a touch of INW Shisha Orange (0.25% will do the trick).

@dennism brought that recipe up on April 4th.

FW Butter Pecan is the only flavor I ever rated HOSTILE. And that was with me testing it at 1%. It's harsh, very harsh, a throat killer. I threw Butter Pecan in the trash.

If I were making that recipe the percents would easily get cut in half (probably way more).

FW Bavarian Cream and FW Sweet Cream are sweeter flavors. FW Hazelnut at 7% is way too high.

The reason she is using sweetener is to clamp down on the harshness of Butter Pecan 4%. That 4% would rip my throat up.

She has a version 2 Bust-A-Nut that looks much smoother.

The creams and marshmallow are bringing the sweetness to the mix. No additional sweetener would be needed. I would also cut the percents nearly in half on the v2 recipe. In fact I would rewrite the recipe knocking the creams down and lowering the nuts.

That reminds me that I was going to try that just for fun since you said how bad it was. I might mix it today without the sweetener. I’ll report back after I try it.

    Thanks. Like 1-2% each?

    Yum! Recipe?
Had to find my notes. I thought this was in @Zazie's blog. It's not. Zaz can you please? Thank you! :)

Butterscotch Cookie 1.2.003 (not very creative, I know :D)

    FA Cookie Vanilla 1%
    FW Butterscotch Ripple 3%
    FA Butterscotch 2.5%
    FA Caramel 1.5%
    FA Madagascar (vanilla classic) 1.5%
    FLV Cream 1%

    Optional:
    FA Walnut 2%

Just about any nut would work.

Thanks! I thought I had about every orange but turned out I don’t have royal orange. Guess I should get it.

I used to use the Cap horchata at 6% solo. Classwife turned me onto it.
made up a 10ml when you posted this... ngl I think I could almost all day this(wanted to try it after 2days of steep). It does feel like it needs more...Volume? The flavor is quite nice but leaves this mouth feel that begs for something extra.

    You're welcome!

Royal orange tastes very much like drinking a glass of Tropicana Orange Juice (I drink a glass every day). Royal orange and blood orange are the two most realistic oranges IMO.

    I have 20 orange flavors. o_O

Good subs for FA Royal Orange are SSA Orange Juice (would go with that), VTA Orange Juice, SSA Juicy Orange or WF Orange Juice.

I did mix the original version at 50%, instead of sweetener I used marshmallow. Still steeping so I haven't tried it yet.
I may try version 2 as soon as I get some butter cream.
