Morning, mixers,

More sun. Although three new fronts stacked up in the Pacific, heading our way soon.

Yes, it's very convenient and makes some nice strong coffee. My wife says she doesn't really care for the coffee beans I grind for the coffee pot so a lot of times she'll just use the Keurig. She usually only drinks one cup in the morning. If I used them I'd go poor buying pods as much as I drink.

In addition to a " real" coffee pot, we have a Keurig style unit that came with an adapter to let you use your own fresh ground beans. Less trash, and a LOT cheaper!

Maybe we should rename our hobby? ;)

The RV purchase for my mother was an ordeal. A 4.5 drive to the place and then the purchase took like an hour and a half to two hours while they went over the whole unit with my mother. I was dog sitting during this time. Mom agreed to drive to College Station to see my daughter and we had a late supper with her as we didn't get there until 9 pm. It was so late that we decided not to drive home but to park in a Walmart parking lot and sleep in the RV. We didn't run the generator to save on diesel so it was a very hot night to start, but it did cool down. We couldn't figure out how to convert the kitchen table to a bed, so I just slept on the padded seats as the were. Mom and the dog got the bed. It took me longer than usual to fall asleep, but I did sleep okay. They next day we drove home, which took longer than usual because mom was still uncomfortable driving the RV and wouldn't drive as fast as normal. I drove her car, which meant I got to listen to the music I wanted to and vape as much as I desired. When I got home, I was ready to take a nap. I'm just now recovering from the ordeal and have caught up on all the posts.

Does your Mom plan on living in the rv or just take vacations.

Is anyone here plagued with wild cucumber? If so, would you consider collecting and sending me some seeds in the fall?

Why are they called wild? Do they stay up late drinking and playing loud music?:D

I usually plant cucumbers in our little garden but couldn't tell you what kind they are.

If they did, they'd be perfect for alienating my unwelcome new neighbors. As it is, if I can get my hands on any seeds, I'll just use them to make the trellis I just had installed at the end of my deck furnish me with even more privacy.

I take it you have a dislike for your new neighbors.

I would dislike any neighbors as close to me as these people are going to be. For twenty-six years, I've had the luxury of having an empty lot next door to me. This year, a new house was plopped onto it, much closer to me than it needs to be. When people are outside, it's as though they're in my yard. I hate it.

Seriously though, what's the difference between wild cucumbers and the kind I plant with seeds that I buy at the store?

For one thing they don't look anything the same. Plus you can't eat them.

Maybe you should be the one partying and playing loud music. Maybe they'll move. Either that or make them think the lot is haunted. You could tell them a story how the last people that lived there died horribly and every once in a while you see one of them outside.

@Zazie could tell her new, way too close, neighbors that the ghosts from this place on Country Road also owned and haunt the property they built their stupid house on.

Or... I could send her one of my PA systems with a several thousand watt power amp. Zaz could aim the speakers their way and crank some seriously obnoxious punk rock. If punk rock doesn't get them moving I could send some Frank Zappa... that just might do the trick.
