Particularly the blackcurrant doesn't come through as much as I would like.

FA Blackcurrant 4%
TFA Meringue 3%
FE Lemon 1%
TFA Sweet Cream 2%
TFA Vanilla Deluxe 2%
TFA Marshmallow 1%

Zazie is spot-on.

I would suggest lowering the following: meringue (1.5%), vanilla deluxe (1%) sweet cream (1%) and marshmallow (0.5%). Four percent total versus the 8% you have now. They will still sweeten your mix at 4% combined.

Try that. You can always tweak those 'to taste' later.

Also, FA Black Currant has sweet and tart notes. Good call adding the FE Lemon. Black currant and lemon pair well together.

If you want a touch more tartness and a little more berry flavor, consider adding FA Raspberry (0.5% - 1%).

One last thing; if you have FA Gin, consider adding 0.5% - 1%. It will enhance the citrus and also brighten the black currant (without imparting any actual gin alcohol flavor).

73° with a nice breeze. Very nice weather !!! Managed to get the grass cut in my backyard earlier. Ran a couple misc errands. Washed 12 30ml bottles and 10 15ml bottles.

I found a voicemail on my phone from UPS saying they were trying to deliver a package but the street number is wrong. I wasn’t expecting anything new for review so have no idea what it is and don’t have a tracking number so can’t even check on it.

Well, they have your phone number. Maybe you can find out who the pkg is from.

I am finally finished with the lawn and will definitely feel it. I mowed, went and got the verticutter, ran it over the lawn in both directions, took it back, then came home and mowed again to pick up thatch and spread seed and fertilizer. I had to hurry to get the rental returned within the two hour minimum or it would have cost me another 25. I’m glad it’s done and refuse to do any more work the rest of the day.

I had a doctor's appointment in Denton (50 minute drive) and I was driving my old truck because I knocked a hole in the oil pan of my car (again!). I was going about 70 mph on the interstate, when all of the sudden, my trucks starts making noises like either the engine was going to blow up or fall out. It drove okay but sounded horrible. I pull over to the side, cut the engine, then restarted it, but the noise was still there. I call my mother, hoping she would be able to pick me up and take me to the appointment in time. No go, it was taking too long and I had to reschedule the appointment. I decided that since my brother didn't live too far from where I was at the time, I'd drive the stupid truck to his house. My mother arrived to pick me up and was going to follow me to my brother's. I start the engine and put it in reverse to back out of my parking spot. There was a brief gurgling noise and then the horrible noise that I'd been dealing with was suddenly gone. As I don't trust the truck to make it home, I continue with my plan to leave it at my brother's house. Now I'm without anything to drive. Hopefully, my brother can look the truck over and see if it is okay to drive. I don't get the parts in for my car until next week, then my brother is going to fix it for me.

I only used vanilla deluxe because it's sweeter than the other vanillas I have, and I was trying to imitate a one shot that is quite sweet. I think vanilla is good in the recipe but probably any vanilla would do the job, especially at a low %.

This was the first time I've used meringue and I like it.

I did order some more blackcurrants, SSA and WF, plus another meringue, FA. I have a good feeling about this mix so I'm going to put a bit of effort into it. I'm going to try it with lower %'s of the background flavors myself. Do please report back on your version.

I saw that FW had some new flavors in and was thinking that maybe the mystery flavor could be one of those.
From your tasting I wonder if it might not be FW Pomelo.

Of course, it could just be something older that they want to get rid of!
