Good morning

Dropped my vehicle off at my buddy's repair place for the front-end work that needs to be done. Before going there I stopped at a nearby bakery and bought a couple dozen donuts for the mechanics.

Remember actual bakeries??? There used to be many of those. This one has been around since long before I was born. It's still owned and run by same family (newer generation).

Working on cleaning my attic today.

I talked with my brother last night about my truck. He thinks I may have gotten some bad gas. I really hope that is all it is. I'd just need to run some fuel cleaner through it. He's gonna check it out to be sure. I certainly don't need repairs on the truck, in addition to repairing my car.

Be good if that’s all it is.

Is good you have windows up there. 61 here. Nice.

It's an old house, Cape Cod built in '48. The attic is full sized with a nice hardwood floor. It's just one big room. We never got around to adding a couple rooms or a bathroom up there. Many years ago I had a few heating vents installed in the attic. My wife did her craft stuff up there. If needed I can always close the windows, open the vents and turn the AC on.

Great you have ac up there if needed. Do you have a lot to clean out?

Do you have a lot to clean out?
Not really, well yeah, maybe... yes. I mean, there are many boxes of 'things' and 'stuff' up there. You know how it is with the stuff we all gather over a married lifetime. Some things I will keep. There are still some things that will be donated. Some things will get tossed. Other stuff will be given away. The rest will get dropped off at Goodwill.

Over the weekend I had my youngest look over things and told her to take whatever she wanted. She is just like me, not into material stuff and was only interested our family photos. She left with a box full, will scan those and then return the pics to me. For me, the photos = what I care about most (memories). Much of the material stuff, just meh.

Thought about a rummage sale... but from prior experience, those are a complete PITA. We all know how strangers are at rummage sales. Ya tape a tag on something for a buck and some schmuck inevitably asks "will you take a nickel for this". IOW, not worth my time and effort.

My ultimate goal is to get down to only the essentials (   ). It's a time consuming process. :glare:

And to think, there was a time long ago, when many of us could pack up and move everything we owned in a few hours. Now???

    Oh well.

Does the mystery flavor seem weak?
I wrote a recipe using the mystery flavor but I haven't mixed it yet.

    Mystery Soda

    Mystery flavor 4%
    Lemon (TFA) 3%
    Key Lime (TFA) 2%
    Soda Base (RF) 2%
    Vanilla Swirl (TFA) 2%
    Juicy Orange (Cap) 2%

It would be pretty obnoxious of me to blog a recipe that includes a mystery flavor, so of course I won't.
