Morning, mixers.

After our torrential dew the other day, it's back to warm and dry. May set some random high temp for the day records, but nothing to be upset over, this time of year.

Hope everyone in Fla made it through, alive and with minimal damage, and same thoughts for those in it's new path.

I guess it depends on your perspective...

We've turned ours on a couple times so far, briefly, just to get the chill out. Night temps have been in the high 30s, low 40s for some time. And with less daylight, even if we do happen to set new high for the day temps, that doesn't last long enough to actually warm up much of anything.

Yep, fall.

Good morning. I just finished tearing another machine down to the frame that had gotten dropped and broke the engine and generator mounts. It amazes me how many pieces of large equipment get dropped.

    Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

I got up early, had an agreement with one of my mates that we were going to the forest with Øsa, he didn't show up. He has major problems with alcohol, so unfortunately that is probably the cause.
He will always be my mate.

Later tonight I will mix a mix of Perique, I have to find out if the old one is rotten or if my sense of taste has changed.
That said, I've really got the taste for Stokkeby.

I really like the Stokkeyby also and have been using it in a mix with a couple other flavors added.

I think when they lift them on and off of trucks. I'm not really sure how since they have lifting eyes. I think one of them the customer forgot to strap it down before the truck took off.

My wife was feeling quite a bit better yesterday and decided we are having a watch party for the new Hocus Pocus movie. She texted me a little bit ago and said there are going to be 12 people tonight. I have no idea where everyone is going to sit. Normally we have seating for six in the living room and can bring some chairs up from the basement but they really aren't that comfortable to sit in to watch a whole movie. I guess some will end up on the floor.

Thanks, I'm going to need it. Out of the 12 I think there will be three guys including myself. It's going to be pretty chaotic. Both daughters will be there along with my MiL and BiL and a handful of friends of my oldest daughter's.

More flavors are on the way, chipping away at that "all of them" limit!
(Just a few... thousand... to go!)

Just washed up a half dozen or so tester bottles so I can get to mixing with the newbies.
I need to get cracking and set up another random spreadsheet with the new flavors, though I did soldier through and saved the ELR flavor notes for them in advance. Updated my ELR and ATF stashes as well.

Earlier on I kept buying and buying flavors. At some point my orders became fewer and further between. I have a lot but a lot get used very little.

I know that I'm headed down that road as well!
Most of my flavors have been picked to use for recipes that I've saved, though I have so many of those now that it would be a chore to figure what recipes the flavors go to!

This is sort of why early on that I wanted to set a "cap", so that I don't end up with too many neglected or unused flavors.
I mean, how many creams, custards, and such do I really need?

(Well, all of them, of course!)

Your story sounds very familiar. Believe it or not, I have 14 lemonade flavors. I got on a kick where I was searching for the perfect one. I don’t regret getting 800 flavors. I can make most recipes I find with little or no substitutions.

I do sort of hope that after I get more experience that I can narrow things down to two or three of each flavor profile that I would really use and just work from there.
Though I guess that will mean trying out many more of each until I find the ones that work for me.
