Good morning random folks Have you any plans today?

Good morning I plan to do a bit more house painting outside done before it rains, I was able to do quite a bit yesterday while it was nearly 60°. Unreal weather for this time of year, considering we got a foot of snow the week before.
I really got off-track with learning computer programming, and I've got back into it full steam ahead. So I plan to keep the momentum going this afternoon and evening. I'm kind of obsessed with fervor, but that's not a bad thing! and I hope to keep that attitude even when things get difficult, which they will. Just bought a new backpack that was on a cyber monday sale for my laptop, books, and accessories when I travel this winter

The thefts, mainly perpetrated by teenagers, have resulted in four deaths in the United States and a large increase in thefts of the affected car models.

Thus far I've managed to knockoff the morning chores around here. Rewicked a few RTA's and rda's.

Youngest daughter wants help with one of her DIY mix ideas. She's been picking my brain like crazy. Wish I could do a Spock mind meld and dump what I know into her noggin'. But it is much fun doing mixes together.

I’m struggling with gifts for my brothers and sis in laws. Personally, I can’t wait until Christmas is over. I think gift giving for people who need nothing is getting ridiculous. I’m clueless this year.

I wish I could understand it but don’t really. She just has it stuck in her head that it will get stolen again because of the TikTok challenge.

I can understand how she feels. Once someone steals your car and personal items thinking it might happen again is natural. Your daughter was violated. Sounds like she has it firmly embedded in her mind that a new vehicle is the solution. Stoopid Kia made it very easy for people to steal their vehicles.

Back in the 80s my wife and I were out with our dogs. Our house was broken into and several items were taken. To top it off the person took a crap in the middle of our living room. My wife's solution was that we needed to buy a different house in another neighborhood. No amount of reasoning (break-ins happen everywhere) could change her mind. Delay on my part made matters, ummm challenging, in the end we bought a different home. Happy wife, happy life.

Ah - IMHO - The perfect gift for people who need nothing - Is Nothing for them personally, but a gift to a person or family (especially anyone homeless) in NEED from them in their name or anonymously . . . Just Sayin' . . .

This is a very simple 4 flavor recipe but I’m still liking it after a couple days of vaping.

We don't do the xmas thing like we did in years past. With four GSD dogs and four cats a tree is a total disaster waiting to happen (ask me how I know ). We will put up a few decorations and a tiny tree is put up high (where cats can't go, at least not yet ).

Gifts, ummm yeah, it gets old. IMHO xmas with grownups is just another day on the calendar like any other day. These days xmas is mostly about $$$$$$. We were never into the whole religious bits and bobs of xmas.

I much prefer buying gifts at random throughout the year and just surprising people.

My issue is that I have to also do my Mom’s shopping as she can’t walk to shop and she has never been on a computer and she has no clue what to buy. After I’ve done the shopping for years I’m just out of ideas. Last year I bought and wrapped 85 gifts between me and Mom. Just ridiculous. Takes away from the joy of the holiday.

I’m down to two brothers and one nephew (from me…barely started Mom’s). Any practical ideas within $25 - $30?
