Yeah, I know that feeling. Last summer I spent $2400 on my 98 S10 truck which also had 86K miles on it. The bodywork looks like new. Didn't use it for a couple of years because the tires were bad and I had a couple of other cars. Thought it would be enough to fire up the engine couple of times a month but not so much. It needed all the fluids flushing, tires, brakes, some suspension work. Now it's good as new. The only thing not fixed was the A/C, that hadn't worked for 15 years and would have been a complete rebuild, those things are expensive to fix.

If you've got a good old vehicle it's worth fixing these days. You can't find a low milage vehicle for anything close to the cost of fixing up an old one.

And yesterday I had to take it back in.
Steaming, smelly and leaving puddles.
Another $350.00
Seems they "tried to save me money" and didn't replace the hoses...

FFS...they are original hoses - I thought that would have been part of the work last week !

Good evening. The wife is going ahead and leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to our daughter’s. So I’ll be alone tomorrow night for sure and possibly Saturday night too if she decides to stay until Sunday.

Good morning random folks. :) Have you any plans today?
I have to go do a couple of calibrations this morning. It should be a quick in and out deal with only two to do but this particular customer never has their act together when I get there so in the past I've had to stand and wait while they get the equipment ready for me to test. I did calibrations on nine units for this customer the end of October and they had a couple broken down so I had to wait to do the calibrations. I told them to call me when they get them up and running but they never did and now they are in a panic because they have an inspection coming very soon and their two automated machines aren't calibrated.

I got the calibrations finished but not without a lot of standing around and waiting for the operator to get things ready to go. I'm not surprised. This place is pretty disorganized. I'm surprised they stay in business sometimes.

Certainty sounds like not your favorite place to go.

Not really. They used to have a great shop foreman and they ended up making him mad enough that he quit. Ever since then it's been a cluster there. There doesn't appear to be anyone in charge and many times I go there and nothing is ready despite me scheduling them out at least a week. Also, last time it took them a month to get us a purchase order number so we could bill them. I told them this time they aren't getting any calibration reports until they issue us a purchase order.

I have finally cut down a bit. I’m using 4 pv’s and 1 Sceptre. I have 2 others than need attention someday when I get my mix divider full again. Big slacker. Better get to writing recipes………I hope.
I take four just back and forth to work. I don't know how many I have going right now but it's too many. I went on a bit of a shopping spree the last couple months and started getting more into boro devices.
