I'm finishing up my lunch break. I got slightly agitated that someone transferred a call to me while I was eating. I've told them before that if they transfer a call while I'm at lunch that I will be adding a minimum of ten minutes per call to my lunch time.

Been busy here. Yesterday my oldest daughter was brushing one of the boarding horses and got her foot stepped on. One of the cats spooked the horse. It backed up onto her right foot.
We took her to the hospital and had it looked at. X-ray and MRI. The metatarsal bone that goes to her big toe has a stress fracture. Other bones, muscles and ligaments are bruised. Fairly painful. They gave her a shot for the pain, a script for some pain pills, a walking boot and crutches. REI (rest, elevation and ice).
She needs to stay off the foot for a while. We told her hubs to go take care of her. Good thing she was wearing her steel toe paddock boots. Toes and other bones likely would have been broken otherwise.
So yeah, a day in the life.

Heavy winter storm here through Thursday. Got some snow yesterday and we'll see up to two feet of additional snow by the time it's all said and done. Snowplow is on the older truck. I managed to plow everything earlier today. This is the winter storm that's heading across the nation and has already caused many problems across the western and plains states.
Ours isn’t so extreme. 5-8 inches of snow starting this evening. Expected to end as an ice storm by noon tomorrow.I don't know.
We're too far north for the ice part of this storm. My neighbor lady in the city said they would be getting more of the sleet than the ice. Just south of the city it's supposed to be all ice. They're pretty concerned about the ice taking down power lines and trees.
