We had a beautiful sunny day here, high of 77. We've been that way for a couple weeks, so I've been in short sleeves for a while. The trees are budding. I had a rough day at work. No major incidents, but a lot of minor annoyances. I wish they would retire all these postal trucks and get new ones, even if they are hand me downs from some other place. And I wish they would get a better computer system with up to date GPS and more efficient ordering of the stops. But you know what they say, wish in one hand and <bleep> in the other and see which one fills up first.

Good afternoon folks, well, you are all in bed and snoring loudly over there now !!!

Yes we had given her a little rawhide bone and when the other dog walked by she got angry and then the wife went to take her outside she bit her.
Well, she shouldn't have bitten your wife, but remember, you just got Rascal, and you know little about her past. Rascal, in the time you've had her she definitely hasn't figured out the hierarchy yet, very logical actually.

And food and things like that, and another dog walking right by, it's not unusual for there to be a fight there.
Dogs protect the things that are highly valued by them, they defend the house, and after all, you too.

Talk to your wife, go over what happened, why, and how you can avoid something similar in the future.

Rascal may have had harsh owners before, there's a lot you don't know, but I know you want to give Rascal a good life with you.

I have been lucky with my dogs, well very unlucky in terms of illness with them.
Oscar my first dachshund was a short-tempered one, significantly larger than the breed standard, when I bought another puppy, Nils, I was in doubt how it would go, a grumpy dachshund, and a puppy that acted like he was the king of the dachs . It didn't take long before the puppy missed his puppy attacks and got its teeth into Oscar's ear.
My mother was furious that Nils had molested sweet Oscar and wanted the black devil killed asap.

They became good friends and ate from the same bowl for the rest of their lives, unfortunately Oscar suffered a herniated disc, failed operation and a long rehab before we understood that he had no options.
The vet took him away from our house, Nils, I'll assume he smelled death when he got home, when night came he was in the kitchen, I took him up to my bed and he slept there for the rest of his life.
We got a new puppy a few years after Oscsr was awake, Prazzla, she was scared by a neighbor humd when she was little, after that attack was the best defense against any other dog, regardless of size.
She passed away at the age of only 9, of heart failure, and Nils was once again alone. I went into depression when she left, will never forget her.
Nild though, well, she left at 15, and he left at 18, so 16 years and 11 months old.
I also miss him very much, but it was expected that it would go quickly

Nils & Prazzla when we lived a short periode in the city: Nils was her uncle)

    Somewhere between here and there
Good morning. It’s back to work for me. I’m kind of dreading it this morning. I got into a bit of an argument with the office manager about him wanting me to assemble a machine for a customer when he didn’t put a labor charge on the invoice. I have a feeling that my boss is going to tell me I have to do it and that will make me angry. It’s time I would normally bill and make commission on. I don’t understand our people being afraid to tell customers that there’s an additional charge for assembly. This particular one takes a little over an hour.

If the office manager goes crying to him then I doubt he will be. I've argued with the guys that sell the equipment for years that there needs to be two prices given to the customer when something needs to be assembled. One price in the box and another price assembled. None of our competitors that I know of assemble equipment for free and some just don't do it.

    I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
