I went and saw the surgeon about a hip replcement today, and at first he said he didn't see anything wrong. But he was looking at the X-rays they took and not the MRI I had done. I mentioned necrosis so he looked at the MRI and said "Wow, yes now I see it". He went on to say that my hip would probably worsen and collapse in a few months so I scheduled the surgery for 5/16. Now the fun part - already put a call in to my regular doc's office and they said just drop by and they'll do all the pre-op tests except the chest x-ray. Hopefully he won't want more clearances that'll make me move the surgery date toward June.

He said the surgery would take a little over an hour, and they don't use glue anymore to affix the new hip joint to the leg. The glue was causing problems so now they use a press-fit joint. He also said I'll be in the hospital overnight and then I can go home.

We got to about 90 today, and the SIL did a bunch of yard work for us.

One more day closer to the weekend. Informed delivery says I have two packages coming tomorrow but have no idea what they are.

My gd and her hubs will be here tomorrow. He’s an oil worker so has been a big help. The oil baseboard in my room is in the way of putting a doorway between rooms. He going to remove and relocate the baseboard. That means moving furniture where’s no room. I just cleaned off my nightstand as much as I can and I have no idea where all the tanks and stuff came from. I just stuffed all that stuff in a gallon plastic bag for now. I’m going to have a ton of stuff to go through. Ugh

Yes, I’ll hang my cabinet and we still need to paint the vanity and get new hardware. I also need to do some caulking.

I’m almost positive that they breed overnight. I just don’t understand how they get in and out of the boxes.
