Whole house AC is not in a ton of homes here either. Window AC’s are way more common. You see them everywhere. Here there is a big one in the LR that does a good job keeping the LR,DR and kitchen cool enough. Then there is one in my room and one in dd’s office. Just one for upstairs.

    What about the back?

Back yard is huge, I don't do that. I use a riding mower out front. She doesn't like me doing too much, always says let the kids do it. But, I've always enjoyed cuttin' grass, so I do the front yard. Cutting grass is very relaxing, for me. DD1, DD2 and their spouses take care of all the rest. SIL uses the tractor on the grass along both sides of the driveway leading out to the road. It's a long stretch.

Back in the city when I was a youngster I used to do a few of the neighbors lawns. Got paid $1 - $2 bucks for each lawn. Used an old fashioned push mower in those days. LOL. I refused any money from our next door neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Pulzin. They always brought me back really cool looking conch shells and other shells from their Florida trips. Mrs. Pulzin was always baking something good!!! Mr. Pulzin was always teaching me cool stuff. They used to share really cool stories from their younger days in Poland and then in NYC when they came over. Like so many of the Old Timers, I really miss them a lot. Still have some old B&W photos taken with them.

And, I still have a few of the shells. This is the first conch shell they gave me.

I was like 6 or 7 when they gave that one to me. For a young kid, it was like a treasure!!! Set a squonker next to it to give ya an idea of it's size. :)

ShowMeTwice I'll apologize now for all my laughing emoji's on these posts. IIRC Anna was personally responsible for a few additions when she ruffled feathers outside. Tightest rules on an 18+ site.

I imagine many of the words are used in books or spoken in K-9 classrooms.

LOLz. Laughing emoji's are great!!! I've always felt that in life if we can get people to crack a smile or laugh, awesome. Especially these days!!!

Anna was a total riot and a trip. Like many, I miss her. She shared some of her poetry with me, good stuff. Even though she was moved on, I have seen her logged in occasionally. I learned from Classy and Misty that folks who've been moved on can still login, they just can't do anything else.

ECF's rules are what they are. We make due. ;)

    But... b-u-t-t....... really???

Indeed, many far naughtier words are spoken in K-9 classrooms.

The other day someone shared a Facebook compilation video of toddlers using just about every swear word there is. And, those were filmed by the parents, who were laughing!!! I was totally stunned and speechless. I mean, what kind of parent...........

If I swore when I was a youngster, my parents broke off a chunk of soap and in the mouth it went. Or ya got a good spanking with the belt on your bare rump.

Up here we have central AC in the main house and also in DD1 + SIL's little house. Have it in our house back in the city as well.

I only like to use it when it gets really hot and humid. When it's warm, but not hot, we use the ceiling fans.
    You need it more there.

Guess the parents don’t care about their kids language. They will regret that when the time comes,

When the cabinets are done I’ll lose a bunch of stuff in my current room. I have a smallish box and a bag of stuff to go in cabinets plus a few things for frig when I get it. Not to mention all the crackers, candy, chips and stuff………

    Mixed (7) 30 ml bottles, 35pg/65vg/2mg nic.
    creamsicle/mango milkshake-dragons breath-blueberry wafer-peanut butter almond cookie-orange juice w/vanilla swirl-coconut lemon cake-boston cream pie.
I’ll be a pain. Can I see creamsicle, mango milkshake, dragons breath, peanut butter almond cookie and Boston cream pie?
