Another warm day here, but if they're right (well, sometimes...) it should cool a bit starting tomorrow.
Yep, CT. And nope, St. Louis Military family, Dad shipped over from the Navy to the Coast Guard after WWII, so all domestic duty stations. He was at the Groton CG radio station then. Grew up pretty much all over the country (except the deep south, he never got stationed anywhere there.)

That smoke reached the midwest yesterday, and we have a high pollen day as well. Luckily after several weeks of hot dry weather the grass has stopped growing. The young one has his school graduation ceremony tomorrow evening at 5 or 6. I will be going to that. He is 12 but tall. These days there are way too many graduations.
Pollen is bad here too. The grass hasn't been mowed in a week and it looks like it could take another before mowing.
Bluegrass grows slow anyways, especially with no rain. I found out the neighbors are moving to mexico, so I'm hoping whoever gets the house doesn't have a bunch of untrained animals (human and otherwise).

And just like that I have 2 empty bottles. Neither of the mixes was my fav. so I’ve done well to get down to the last tank of each.
I wasn't but now that I have the supplies, I'll be getting ready for vacation bible school, which is next week. I'll be teaching 5th graders how to make rosaries
Had GGD over for the day. I took her down the local park which has a nice playground. There was only one other kid there who was a 4 year old girl. As soon as the kid saw us coming she started screaming, people, people, go away. But then GGD gave her a foam ball from her bag and she was happy again, never let go of it until we left. When we were ready to leave we wandered over to get the ball back. The mother said you have to give the ball back, she dropped it then threw herself down on the ground and had a tantrum.
The whole time we were there the mother had a phone in her ear, she was trying to manage the kid with one hand. The kid went down a spiral slide and mother followed still yakking on the phone. Kid stopped at the bottom but mother couldn't stop with one hand and ran into her. Sent her flying.
