You had me at no 'egginess'. I will try my sft today.
Has anyone tried the VSO flavors?
OK. Much thanks. Looks like I need to sft that and the Alaskan Berries. Probably not today and I will do only 5 ml on both. Really starting to get tired of doing sft's.This morning before chores I did a 5ml SFT of WF Pastry Cream at 2%. LOL, 2% = 0.1g / think it was like 8 drops. IMO that doesn't require any steep time whatsoever.
I love my creams, most of my recipes use two. IMO creams help to make nearly every mix taste better. Even a tiny amount (0.25% - 0.5%) can turn a ho-hum mix into one that is vibrant and excellent. I am a huge fan of the Wonder Flavour creams, no two are alike, all are awesome.
WF Pastry Cream: It's a lovely tasting cream, very nice mouthfeel, not heavy, sweetness sits at about the mid-point, rich, no off-notes, has some moistness.
Describe it in one word? Heavenly.
Is WF Pastry Cream a crème pâtissière? IMO, absolutely yes. But, the answer also depends. A crème pâtissière is basically a custard filling. It's not a custard in the way of CAP Vanilla Custard v1, FA Custard Premium, INW Custard or any of the others. Those to varying degrees feature some level of egginess which is experienced by way of taste. A decent pastry cream should not have that note (but it is created using eggs). WF Pastry Cream has no egginess.
I can see many uses for WF PC. One could "enhance" it by adding a light touch of a custard. That would create a more complex tasting cream within a mix. Desirable IMO.
This is another 5ml SFT that I could easily vape up today. And I just might. When a flavor tastes this good off the mix, it isn't going to turn crappy with steeping (LOLx100), it's only going to get better.
Wonder Flavours created another winner with Pastry Cream!!!
I hope you like it. What percentage did you do?
3%
Not yet. Buying some VSO flavors has been on my DIY to-do list for a while.
Could very well be.My guess, Alaskan Berries is the culprit.
Good morning, Kat.Good morning everyone![]()
I still have 2 mixes to try that isn't going to happen today. One is the Ice Cream Toffee and the other is sparkling strawberry/pastry cream (No hurry to try that one)
Yup. Gonna post it soonGood morning, Kat.Did you see Zazie's post to you?

1% Biscuit INW
2% Lemon FE
1% Meringue FA (orig use TFA)
4% Sugar Cookie CAP
1% Super Sweet PUR (orig use CAP)
1.5% Sweet Cream CAP (orig 1% TFA)
Developed calls it a blind remix of SadBoy Butter Cookie

I like the Vanilla Ice Cream too. I will probably try the Toffee ice ceam tomorrow.Didn't get the Toffee Ice Cream. I should have. WF's vanilla ice cream is a favorite of mine. Swore I could taste some of that in their dark chocolate ice cream.
