I went into Paint and wrote down the steps.

- right click on picture file
- click on Open With and select Paint (not Paint 3D)
- when Paint opens, click on option Resize
- make sure Maintain Aspect Ratio box is selected
- the Horizontal and Vertical fields should both be set to 100, change either of them to 50
- click on OK
- click on File
- hold cursor on Save As, then over to JPEG. Click
- Choose a new name for your file (make sure you are saving to the Desktop)
- Save

If it's still too big you need to go through those steps again with the new file.

Maybe that will help.

There are lots of other ways to resize a pic but this seems like the easiest one.

I could be wrong but I think he meant to save the pic and then open it and follow those instructions. If I am wrong, I am sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.

OK. I never used FB so that's beyond my pay grade. Is there a way to copy the pic from FB Messenger to your desktop? Maybe someone knows. When you right click do you get a Save or Save As or Copy option?

I did resize that one.

Whoops, I was wrong. They won't dock for another couple hours.

I did save to my pictures and got the option to resize from there. As soon as Heather docks she will probably send pics of the town and I can see if I can do that again.

After today Heather will have little to no internet. They will sail thru the ice tomorrow and then sail back to Seattle. She will probably have a ton of pics once she gets there.

If they have the chance to go on a whale watching tour through the San Juan Islands, it is fabulous and we had a wonderful buffet lunch as well.

She hasen't said anything about that so I don't know. Right now she's looking forward to hiking today and hopes to see wildlife on the glaciers tomorrow.

Back to the 100's of hand washings today. Heather's oldest daughter is the only one of the kids that hasen't gotten sick. Hope she doesn't.
